SYN_Mike77 Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 I just got a new computer and when I try to start the game the load page starts up but then I get a message that says: "There is no disk in D drive. Please insert disk in D drive. I can get to the all aspects of the game: graphics, sound set up, input selection and key bindings. However, when I try to actually fly the loading screen will come up and the red bar will go all the way to the end befo16gre the dialog box described above pops up. Occasionally, the game will load through the box but more generally it does not. New rig stats I5660k 3.5mhz 16 gigs 2800 ram nvidia 1070 Windows 10
Urra Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 I think this means you have to insert the 3.5" floppy disk.

SYN_Mike77 Posted August 23, 2016 Author Posted August 23, 2016 (edited) I have used your support and have not heard back. Is there something else I need to do? I should add that Rise of Flight works just fine. This is getting old PS: it just got even stranger. I can get to an online server but not quick mission or campaign. Go figure! Brano Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 All hail great and powerfull google I saw somewhere in the comments that this might be caused by virus. So maybe try to run the full scan just in case. 1
SYN_Mike77 Posted August 23, 2016 Author Posted August 23, 2016 I haven't even been anywhere! The first thing I did was download IL2! I read that though and at another place that it was a common (or semi common) registry error in Windows 10. I'll run a full scan though. Can't hurt right? Again, thanks for the info.
Brano Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Full scan can't hurt for sure. Glad to see your problem is gone
