New bug or new feature ???

I painted this brazilian P40 this morning and scored 4 kills  (109,87,87,202) today on WoL.

 

But before it, this plane exploded alone after a take off. No one was nearby and I was on friendly territory. Any bug about planes exploding alone ???  I had a track after the accident and no players around for sure.  

 

Or is it a new game feature?? random mechanical failures ???

If it is a bug, maybe Devs can look for the mission log on the server. The only thing not accurate is that I didn't fire a single shot.

Could it have been a weird ping thing where the server detected that you bounced hard enough on the ground to go kaboom?

I was around 10.000 ft.  No lag at all.  

 

My first tought it was a vulcher. But like I said before, not a single enemy or friendly plane around. 

 

No kill message for anyone. Only that I was killed.

It's been discussed before.

 

I think you were shot down by flak, that saw your plane flying on the other side of the map, or some such.

I think it's related to connection issues.   Your plane can appear in two places at the same time and a flak gun, or another player saw it and blew you up, or your doppleganger...

Yes, you can feel reassured that in an alternate universe your plane is still flying around intact and you are racking up the kills....

 

Had no idea the sim was THIS advanced....!

Had this happen to me as well on several occasions - not sure though why.

The funny thing is I had this in another sim too .. so maybe aliens from outer space are just eliminating random planes throughout different sims xD

This problem has been reported several times. People flying frequently online know it well. 

A log analyser was supposed to identify the root cause ... no news ... 

 

I confirm the problem still happens but online exclusively

From all the tracks I analysed from fly-mates and myself this is not flack / or enemy shot (nothing in the WOL logs).
