Bearfoot Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 (edited) (1) Post-combat reports. Who shot whom. Which shots hit and where. Percentage of shots hit/missed. What survived and what did not. etc. I know there is an add-on that does this, but it would nice to have it integrated organically. (2) One word: TACVIEW. Or rather, support for TACVIEW. Really folks, this takes combat flight sims to another level entirely. This would transform the learning/teaching curve. [CPT]milopugdog Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 -snip- (3) Pilot-controlled forward-firing guns on the JU-88 It was already said that the type of Ju-88 in-game didn't have this.
FlyingH Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 1 and 2 Yes by all means, 3 not historically accurate.
SKG51_robtek Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Wasn't this way that the forward firing MG81 in the windshield of the Ju88A4 could be arrested in a fixed position when not used by the observer and was then pilot controlled? I remember to have read something along this lines. 1
Gunsmith86 Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 (edited) (3) Pilot-controlled forward-firing guns on the JU-88 It was already said that the type of Ju-88 in-game didn't have this. Wrong all Ju 88-A had this but it doesnt work like most people would expect it to work. The pilot can only fire the forward faceing MG 81 or Mg 15 if it is locked into a fixed position. In this position there is no electrical fire controle like on other weapons in fighters. Eigther the pilot pulled the trigger on the weapon himself or he ordered his Gunner to do it which was mostly done. In the fixed position the MG 81 or Mg 15 was aligned whit the Revi sight of the pilot which made it posible to aim. If he was on targed he would order the gunner to shot thats it. [CPT]milopugdog Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Number (5) ability to lose landing gear(s)
Jade_Monkey Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Nooo, the original post has been done in the style of those annoying 'headline' click-crap. Bearfoot, nothing against the content of your post, just I really loathe the way those all capitalised 'forceful' statements are taking over the web. seafireliv Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 I`d pay money for a proper dynamic campaign with a proper ranking structure.
LLv34_Flanker Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 S! I would pay for.. 1. Dynamic campaign, like in Falcon 4.0. 2. Participate in funding DirectX 12 implementation as it is the biggest step with it's features.
Danziger Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Lol I thought this was one of those spam bot threads until I saw so many replies.
Bearfoot Posted August 23, 2016 Author Posted August 23, 2016 Ha, ha. Ok, sorry about the click-bait title ... but it was honestly in parody of click-bait titles! I thought the tongue-in-cheekness would be clear. But while the title was meant in humor, the content is serious enough: after-action reports and TACVIEW support would be great! So would pilot-controlled forward-firing guns on the JU88, but I guess that's not a widespread opinion.

Lusekofte Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 The A4 was not equipped with forward guns, but there where subversions of it and dedicated fighter versions / ground attack versions. I think we will see some eventually . For the other stuff, if you want it why not, for me do not care at all
