SCGSalty64 Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 So I looked to see if anyone else noticed this phenomenon which is when using pitch or yaw trim in the P40, the rate of change is very fast. It is so fast, it's hard to stabilize the plane. I use a CH Fighter joystick with the 4 way knob assigned to pitch and yaw trim. All the planes so far (I've flown in BoS & BoM) have a slower and more stable rate of trim, but the P40 (I just got BoM today) changes at least twice as fast, too fast actually. So has anyone else noticed this or is it just me? And the obvious question, can it be slowed down somehow or do I just live with it? I guess if I just tapped the key to try and make smaller increments. I just wondered why suddenly this particular aircraft was modeled with such a sensitive trim.
BlitzPig_EL Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Just watching the numbers for trim on the techno chat display, it seems to me that all planes move their elevator trim, or in the case of some of the German planes the stabilizer, at pretty much the same speed. It may just be more noticeable in the P40 because it is very sensitive to trim changes, as it was in real life.
SCGSalty64 Posted August 20, 2016 Author Posted August 20, 2016 What is techno chat? Is that software that allows you to see responsiveness?
Jade_Monkey Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 No, the in game icons and text on the right side that tells you throttle %, flaps down, gear up etc
