Help please - Switched to Steam Account - trying to export controls...

While I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing using some forum searches, google fu, and common sense, I'm curious:  Does anyone know where the config files are stored?  So that those of us who have our old versions still installed while we get our steam versions up and running, is there a way to simply copy your previous config over without having to remap the works?  Just a question I hope someone can help me with.  Thank you in advance and S!

Edit:   Solved:  Here's the solution that worked from the Steam forums.

 

​"Go to your game folder, open catalog \data\input\ and find file INPUT.map which contains your custom mapping and binding. Note that DEFAULT.map is, evidently, for default profiles."

 

Replace those files with your previous files and you are GTG.  S! and I hope this helps someone else.
