BigPickle Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I have a Buttkicker gamer (the old analog version) its truley epic, music movies games just dont feel the same without it.now.
steppenwolf Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Interesting product...wives might be more understanding of flight sims if they perhaps sat in a chair so equiped.
Kaenzdhi Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Buttkicker is great, i can't fly without it (like trackir) great immersion. 1
Hunziker Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Interesting product...wives might be more understanding of flight sims if they perhaps sat in a chair so equiped. Priceless!
GP* Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Has anyone else purchased this item since December of last year? How do you like it? Has anyone tried it in IL2 1946? I recently go a FFB and it's great, but I'd like to get feedback *immediately* when the airframe starts to buffet, versus the FFB stick where the vibrations don't start until I'm already in a pretty hard pull that will shortly thereafter result in a stall.
LLv34_Flanker Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 S! Right. Flight simming just became pricey Would be nice to test such thing, have enough connectors on the Asus Xonar soundcard. 1
AbortedMan Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 I was about to buy one if these until I realized it was a glorified subwoofer. I was under the impression it was tied to ffb...but sadly it's not. Still pretty cool though.
SYN_Blackrat Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Simvibe is a great program that interfaces with the Buttkicker, but it only works with certain programs, mainly racing sims but also X-plane and I think FSX, which does as you say AM, it adds to the FFB taking data from the sim to vibrate the transducer, otherwise it is just the sub woofer sounds including your mates on Teamspeak.
BigPickle Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Hmm $89 for a peice of software and no trial that i could see, seems like a massive gamble considering that Butkicker already does what I need.

It won't work with BOS anyway, it is only for certain titles, it is something I am planning to buy this Autumn along with an amp and four transducers for my racing rig.
oneeyeddog Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 I think the BK Gamer is pretty cool. If you have a good joystick, rudder pedals, TIR already I would definitely recommend getting one. It will rumble with your engine and you can feel the unevenness of the rough runway among other effects. It will give you an alarming jolt when flak goes off near by. It can be somewhat of a hassle to set up and you will spend a bit of time fine tuning it and adjusting it to get the results you'd like and other than basic set up instructions , you are on your own. I did end up getting a separate sound card to make better use of the BK and that did improve performance. The kit itself is very well made and robust. There are smaller tactile devices and I've been toying with the idea of mounting a few of these to the back of my PC chair. All in all, Its not as critical a piece of hardware as some others, but it surely adds to the experience.
BigPickle Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Sadly the sound in BoS doesnt have that feel that other sims have had, the aircraft sound too clean and the kicker doesnt behave as nice as it would if the aircraft sounded more like WW2 aircraft, epecially if for the Russian aircraft as they sound like cessna's to me.
III/JG11_Simmox Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 i use a BK combined with E dimension Force feedback headset. its a fantastic combination.
BlueHeron Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 It does look temping, but no one seems to have it in stock.
-TBC-AeroAce Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 its seems very expensive for what it is, I would rather try and make my own some how, maybe get a rumble pack that is triggered by sound spikes
avlSteve Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I'm thinking about picking one of these up soon. Does it require additional hardware other than the unit? I'm assuming it attaches to my chair.
A-E-Hartmann Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 (edited) Question a bit silly, but what use is ? Edited November 15, 2014 by A-E-Hartmann
Yakdriver Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 shake your butt when you stall and crash :D
A-E-Hartmann Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 (edited) nice . Edited November 15, 2014 by A-E-Hartmann
avlSteve Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 (edited) Apparently it can scare the life out of you, so I heard, for the ultimate realism when you take a bad hit. Edited November 15, 2014 by avlSteve
Charlo-VR Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Flak can really startle you - I've almost fallen out of my chair in ROF. Plus, it's great to feel the plane touch down on landing. I consider the Buttkicker to me a must have peripheral, now that I've had one the last few years.

So I guess the buttkicker wouldn't register it as my bass didn't get the sound. It will of course register all engine sounds, but the missing flak sounds are a let down for me. Zettman

The best effects for me are feeling the recoil when firing cannon. the jolt when your own a/c is struck or a shell explodes close by, and feeling the judder as well as hearing the creak in a tight turn (in CloD). It's also very effective in racing games - particularly when driving over a ribbed curve. Incidentally it can be plugged into any of the soundcard sockets - green, black or orange. I am currently using the green (front speakers) but it's worth experimenting to see which works best with your set up and games.

According to Russian called - shake booty )) The entire cockpit I have shown - http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/8441-show-us-your-cockpit/?p=199926
BlueHeron Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Would like to get my hands on one of these, but stock is nowhere to be found.
