supanova Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 I have a working single player mission with one query. I have a flight of two aircraft approaching the field with one trigger waypoint and one command land. The aircraft are landing and taxiing correctly but I want to make sure I have the structure correct as I'm not sure they're following the initial waypoint, although that might be simply because they're organising themselves for the landing phase. The two aircraft are Hawk 1 and Hawk 2. Hawk 2 has a target link to Hawk 1. I have a translator mission begin target linked to the trigger waypoint. The trigger waypoint is object linked to Hawk 1. The command land is also object linked to Hawk 1. Translator mission begin is target linked to command land. The idea is that Hawk 1 files to the trigger waypoint and then to command land. I have a feeling linking translator mission begin to command land is a mistake and I should have target linked trigger waypoint to command land instead. But I've found it hard to test the mission as I can't find the necessary views.
JimTM Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Place the land command where you want the planes to touch down and orient it to the direction of landing. Create a target link from the waypoint to the land command. Remove the target link from mission begin to land command. When the leader receives the land command, both planes do an approach on the runway and then fly a wide circuit of the field before actually landing in turn.
