Bearfoot Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Again, with the BF-109! So pitch can be toggled to manual/auto using the "Shift-P" key. How do we know what state it is currently, in case we lose track? Is there an indicator on the cockpit? Thanks!
Aap Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 (edited) There is a switch under your throttle, where you can select if the prop is under manual or auto control. And if you don't remember which position is which, you can always check by trying to increase or decrease the pitch manually. The switch/lever for changing pitch is on throttle handle for F- and G-models and in the front panel for E-models. Edit: Actually it looks like the switch is on throttle handle also for E7. I just recalled from CloD that the lever is on the front cockpit panel for the E models used there E1 - E4. Edited August 15, 2016 by II./JG77_Kemp 1
Sokol1 Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 (edited) Map (replace or add) Scroll Lock key for this command, so you have a bright LED on keyboard. Edited August 15, 2016 by Sokol1 2
Bearfoot Posted August 16, 2016 Author Posted August 16, 2016 Thanks. For mine and other's reference: the switch in the forward position = auto pitch; the switch in the aft position = manual pitch. The Scroll Lock mapping is nice ... except then if I accidentally hit Shift-P, especially more than once, then it will be out of sync and I will have no idea whether LED on is auto or manual!
Sokol1 Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 The out of sync is due the "toggle" only nature of controls (press the same key for ON and for OFF). Will happen too if you forget to reset before do re-fly. Always look at the switch.
