In the real world

In the real world it is very easy to recognize the difference between ourselves and a machine, such as an aircraft. An aircraft is just a tool, it isn't an extension of our bodies, although it sometimes helps if it feels as if it is when flying it.

Does the same apply to the virtual world of flight sims ?  Do we see the aircraft as the personal embodiment of our virtual selves as opposed to the amalgam of pixels sitting in the pilots seat ?

Before I experienced the oculus rift it was just pixels.

I would hold on there, if I were you. You might just need her if the cockpit heater fails.  At least you can say to her, in all honesty,  that she does have a use.

hahaha mate, if it wasn't for Mrs Sternjaeger I would be living in a pit, crushed under countless aircraft bits and Domino's pizza boxes..
