HagarTheHorrible Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 In the real world it is very easy to recognize the difference between ourselves and a machine, such as an aircraft. An aircraft is just a tool, it isn't an extension of our bodies, although it sometimes helps if it feels as if it is when flying it. Does the same apply to the virtual world of flight sims ? Do we see the aircraft as the personal embodiment of our virtual selves as opposed to the amalgam of pixels sitting in the pilots seat ?
DD_bongodriver Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Before I experienced the oculus rift it was just pixels.
Sternjaeger Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 I will have to get hold of one, do we know when it's gonna be released yet?
Sternjaeger Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 cool, plenty of time to prepare my divorce papers 1
HagarTheHorrible Posted November 25, 2013 Author Posted November 25, 2013 cool, plenty of time to prepare my divorce papers I would hold on there, if I were you. You might just need her if the cockpit heater fails. At least you can say to her, in all honesty, that she does have a use. 1
Sternjaeger Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 hahaha mate, if it wasn't for Mrs Sternjaeger I would be living in a pit, crushed under countless aircraft bits and Domino's pizza boxes..
