Sweet FX, Mediator and Game Launcher

I was able to get sfx / mediator working with latest patch but now game will not launch.  A work around is to go into bin/game and start game without launcher but when the next patch comes out I will need to re-load the game from a backed up version.  I Since sfx is very popular with many of us I wish the dev team could come up with a fix that would eliminate the "game failed to launch" issue.
