The VVS needs a medium bomber, one with a significantly larger bomb load than the Pe 2.

 

I think the Il-4 would be the best bet. Slow like the heinkel but they hung 3,5T of bombs on it and it fits the timeframe of BoS/BoM and later scenarios.

I think when they get a DB-3/Il-4, we should get the Fw189 as the counterpiece.

I would totally fly a Storch around just be an idiot!

 

 

That bird can take off in about 100ft of runway and land anywhere just about. Maybe they can incorporate rescue missions for downed pilots!!!!

I agree with all of these! Some great variation there, and the Po-2 would defeat everything if the person flying it had this music in the background while playing

Spitfire V and lf9 were used in the USSR.

 

I know that the spitfire 5 saw use in Kuban 1943. It is a few months later then the Stalingrad though. and the plane is kinda obsolete with ~500 kmh at ground level.

 

however there is still no yak9.
