Hi all,

could someone with more knowledge than me please check something out. I playing QMB tonight just blowing [Edited] up on the ground cos I love the new gun sounds but I noticed that when in external view a few planes sounded weird, more like trains or wind noise, I hadn't noticed it before now.

The planes I had chance to try were:

LA5 sounded like a train, FW190 sounded like  wind noise, P40 sounded great, ME109E7 sounded like wind noise.

Did something change or have I just not noticed before now? flicking from cockpit to external they sound like 2 different sound samples, in my opinion.

Cheers

They should definitely sound different from inside and outside.

Hi Keeno, Not sure what you mean by your sound description [ train /wind ] but i have just checked the aircraft you mentioned  La 5/Fw 190/Me 109E 7 and all sound right to me !  both the radials of the L5 and 190 always sound it a bit rough

And all the 109's have that distinctive whistle in fly past,  so check your sound settings both internally and externally on BoS

Cheers :salute:

Are you referring to external sounds of your own plane or other planes?

Ive on occasion noticed external sounds of enemy planes are not playing correctly in the way that you have described. Ie, using Ctrl + F2 with external views enabled.

I have never noticed the issue with my own plane.

Edit:  This has only occurred since the last patch.

Hi all and thanks for the replies.

Yes, I mean the sound of my own plane when viewed from outside in external view. I appreciate that the internal sounds when listened to from inside the plane and the external sounds when listened to from outside the plane sound very different but I've never noticed my La 5 sounding like a chugging train when listened to from outside the aircraft. When I fly the FW190 and viewed it externally is seems to sound like the sound heard when flying a plane internally but with the canopy open.

All very strange unless I'm so used to used flying internally I've just never noticed this before. Maybe I just need a bit of time to get used to it, I'll do some more testing.

Cheers again.
