Change to Steam

Since the BOM will be out on steam soon I decided to re-install my game to Steam account. It will bring a little publicy at least if other then me do it.

Now I'm wondering about my content of BOM. How I install it now ?

 

In fact I've got trouble with my launcher since 2 patch so I need to re-install it.

Just install your BoS version on Steam. It already contains both games. How to get BOS on Steam
You will be able to get BoM Steam keys on next Monday, August 15 to see BOM and your Collector’s planes in the DLC list.

Those who bought the game until October 22nd, 2014 can transfer IL2 BOS to Steam saving their game progress.

Why do people want to transfer their BoS from the website to steam?  I cannot find any info on the purpose for this?  My game started giving me errors a few days ago(I had not played in a while).  First it did a 2 hour update.  Then it said my key was not activated.  So, I checked my profile on the website, and yes.. my key is still activated.  So I put in a support ticket and they are taking days to fix nothing... Then today they asked to see a screen shot of my key on steam.. (So I am like,.. what the hell are they talking about?) So I sent them a screenshot of my key on their website that says it's activated...  Then I try to run the game in OFFLINE mode and now it says that I have to download a whole new verision!?  I just did an update 3 days ago when all this started happening.  Was that update fubar??

 

Then I see some button on my profile to transfer my game to Steam.  It says nothing as to why...

Well i did it to get faster download speed and to save some traffic of the producers

FYI: if you transfer to Steam, you can leave a positive review, and THEN still play either the website or Steam version (or both?)

The finally told me that their records show that my account was activated on Steam on December 2, 2016.  I don't remember doing that.  I am almost positive that I didn't.  I looked in my Steam account and BoS is not there.  I looked in my gmail history and I have no emails about that.. ever.  

 

I don't understand how this works, but they say 'my' key was activated on Steam on Dec 2.  I asked if they have any record of who they sent it to.  They said they didn't send it to anyone.  My account on there website doesn't have any information about any Steam key at all.  It just has that button to transfer the key to steam.  So, I have no clue as to what they are talking about.

 

But they did say they will reactivate my account on their website if I agree that I cannot ever transfer it to steam.  So, I said yes.  This is fubar..
