I disagree. Much, much better than the hollow bongo sounds we had before.

Space-Ghost, everybody can share its opinion here to give a feedback and I truly respect yours, even if you are part of the few supporting the new sounds. Should I add that there would not be so much remarks on new sounds if they were that perfect ... Mr PalmSpace.  :rolleyes:

They will never be perfect, always someone will complain. And complainers are the loudest group always in the forums.

 

BTW, I like the new sounds. Much improved.

From reading the forums the consensus seems pretty overwhelmingly in favour of the new sounds.

 

Still, when did facts play much part in discussions on flight-sim forums?

i know but the enemy fighters were harmless in BoS campaign, i don't remember being shot down by any of them ( maybe once or twice) and i did the entire campaign flying 111 .

Now, i like being attacked by enemy fighters in campaign, i don't want the old type of enemies but this type of enemy attack in solo missions against a bomber is unplayable .

Solution: The mission briefing says the amount and type of aircraft flying with you. Don't like the mission it generates? Abort and generate another.

Actually i have to start the mission and abort on the runaway otherwise i get the same type of mission from every airfield . I hope the devs will find a constructive solution for these type of missions that are very hard with the new ace enemy fighters in BoM if you are a high level pilot in campaign . I suggest adding an extra bomber.

Are all airfields on Moscow map designed to work in multiplayer? If no, why?

 

If yes: how to use this airfield in multiplayer? Where are spawn points (parking)? Where should we insert fakeairfield object in MissionEditor?

Nope. The fakefield objects don't work like that. Maybe to the right side between the runway and taxiways, the area that is in lighter color.

(You'd probably put your fakefield objects by the side of the runway, so there's a couple of metres of taxxing to get onto the runway itself. That's what I'd do, I think.)

 

Tallking of which - a question for the Devs:

 

For the fakefield and fakefield_rwspawn objects, would it be possible to add an option to the properties or advanced properties dialogue boxes to allow builders to choose how many aircraft spawn in the rows?

 

This would add a lot of flexibility for coop starts among other things.

Or better yet, choose the spawn points too. That way you could have aircraft spawn in the caponiers.

ok, i tried this kind of mission again , bridge bombing , one 109 escort - same thing happened only this time four  i16's showed . Same scenario : two went after my escort and afterwards joined the hunt , i'm being chased a long distance with heavy damage , some 60 km, i pass the way point, in the end one engine died and i get rammed by two Soviet planes in a row , one takes out a piece of elevator and the next one cuts off one wing , disgusting . What is the point of having this kind of imbalanced missions ?

 Not to mention the pack leader of the i16's sucked up some 50 bullets from my gunners without even leaving a trace of smoke or something,  just because he can :)

It is a radom generator. You will get random missions and some make no sense. That is the problem with being completely random. Quit and select another mission. Not sure why you persist and continue to post complaints when others have already provided the answer?! Especially in this particular thread.

 

Maybe it will get fixed in the long term but for now there is the above work around.

I discovered this because I am passionate games of the Eastern Front and the Great Patriotic War and more specially the opertation barbarossa, I presume that be difficult to please all players, each player has a front preferring another .
 
But Leningrad card would be interesting. thank you  ;)

I completely agree it can/should be improved. I suspect it will require a significant rewrite or we would have seen it already. At the moment it is a truly random generator.

Jason, for every problem there is a solution. Rise of Flight United, for example. :)

IL-2 Sturmovik United (Main Game where the tanks are only playable) + BoS (DLC) + BoM (DLC) + Collector Planes (DLC) = How this sounds?

This sounds like a good idea to me :)
