Upgrading my Video card

I hope it will be worth it I am upgrading from a GTX 660 OC 2GB DDR3 to a Zotac 960!AMP 4GB DDR5.

 

Should be good with the DX11 coming I hope.

Can you trade it in? The 480 from amd offers much better performance for 20 more when new. You can get 970s for little more in that price bracket.

You mean the RX 480?The radeon card have always been a disappointment for me graphically anyways I stick with  Nvidia.

 

The 970 is about 120$ more.

 

First thing I did was max out every game I have to Ultra maximum settings.

 

I am very happy with the AMP edition the power consumption is max 120-123 Watts where as my old 660 OC was 230-240 Watts.

 

I got clock up to 1509 Mhz running in WoT and Metro 2033 running it got up to a maximum 62C in temperature.

 

BOS does not draw much off the card it runs really well it is gorgeous as usual.

 

Card does not consume power at all my power supply thanks me already hehehe.

This is probably my last set-up I have been PC gaming for over two decades and the industry

has changed so much and has gotten expensive.

 

Gaming has changed too much for me anyways.

 

I used to fly in 1946 for 8 hours straight.

 

Not anymore I have run out of patients with the gaming industry and with the pay to play and other

new models that gaming has come out with.

 

I am over 50 I am starting to think about a few Cuba trips a year and other things
