I sat on the sidelines for a while so when I decided to get into this game, Battle of Moscow was already released and as it seemed to have a really great set of planes that was the one I started with. I hadn't expected that that would mean be I'd be locked out of the busiest online servers ! Very happy to see the devs are addressing this with their next patch, looking forward to it.

 

Any other BOM-only flyers out there ?

Yeah glad to hear everyone will be able to fly together soon. With the current number of online players we can't afford to segregate the community.

Be carreful, you will be allow to fly on Bos map, only if the mission builder include BoM planes. If none of them is in the mission, you can't fly. It's the same thing for owner who have only Bos on BoM map.

Sure thing. But most servers feature both sets of planes.

 

AND the other big thing is that we will hopefully see more moscow maps in multiplayer.

Totally agree, good news for the maps.

 

Mission designer should also pay attention to mix planes of both versions in order to avoid segregation. Two weeks ago on WOL we where on an exiting run when my fly mate had to quit because the BOS planes were out of stock...  (he flies BOS and we were on a a BOS map). Segregation can also happen with a wrong plane set.

At some point, you can't if you want to respect the historical planeset. Using LA5 on Moscow is a non sens (for exemple). Different periods has different planes, even if some of them can be use for both front.
