ThudThunder Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Hello all, Earlier today on the TAW server I was conducting a level bombing run from an altitude of 4km. Using the automatic bomb release function on the HE-111, I attempted to sight in my target which was a factory with multiple buildings/ground objects, many of which were quite large. However, I was unable to spot this target until I was right over it because it had not yet rendered (the square looking area was still blurry). On a second bombing run this same issue occurred, and I was unable to hit the target because it would not render until the aircraft was close to directly over head. Is this a issue that can be fixed by tweaking the graphics settings or is this a game issue? Thanks
Monostripezebra Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 no it, as far as I know, you cant. But you can remember where the objects are and then get them. It´s a problem with the added 3d-scenery objects which generally have a bit lower render distances and it gets worse, the higher you get. Player stuff thankfully spawns in a little earlier, you can use that for orientation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1S9DKhEBLk
xvii-Dietrich Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 it would not render until the aircraft was close to directly over head. Is this a issue that can be fixed by tweaking the graphics settings or is this a game issue? I'm afraid this cannot be remedied. It remains a very serious flaw for bombing missions. :-(
Lusekofte Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 When I flew BOS I always had to go at 2 K first time I bombed a target, after that I knew where it was and could go 5 K next time. If I ever would fly multiplayer on a public server I probably would have to go 2 Kthe first 20 times , since it is too long
