Definitive Guide to Sweet FX please!

Hiya so a while ago I got a new hard drive so lost my precious Sweet FX files and settings for BOS and upon attempting to re-download it for BOS/BOM I found the process a nightmare. Information was all over the place and I couldn't what I needed and where to get it, there was loads of new things I had not heard of before such as "reshade". I remember FlightFX being a thing and I found that very useful as the UI was very good I found! 

 

Basically what I am after is if someone could give me a link to what I need to download and a quick brief on how to install/ set up. If anyone has Fifi's settings (because I was using a modified version of his) or good settings for summer/winter maps if they would be generous enough to post their settings file as well!

Look for Reshade on google. There's also the very good presets made by 5tuka, he posted somewhere in the forums

This is probably your best starting point for all things SweetFX.

 

The first 3-4 pages cover Reshade in detail. The last couple are for Mediator. I'm using Mediator now with 5tuka's settings. I played around in Reshade and got some nice results. Since updating to Mediator I haven't had time to fiddle much but I will later. 5tuka does nice work. I like a slightly redder shade than him (brings out the browns a bit more) and will tinker down the road.

"if you download the whole client I've uploaded here you need to drop the extracted files + the SweetFX folder into your IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad\bin\game directory. From that moment on SweetFX will automaticly work ingame. You can enable and disable SweetFX while playing by pressing the "scroll lock" key.

 

To unistall it just remove the files you downloaded. It's important to clean everything up again before flying vanilla or installig a newer SweetFX version, else you may expirience game crashes."

 

Hope this can help somebody else.

 

Also if some1 has a good winter setting would apreciate it.

Chandalier, my winter settings are in this thread. A few guys are using it. I'm on my phone and can't direct link it here. It's a modification of 5tukas settings and all credit to him for the heavy lifting.
