Frequent_Flyer Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 If I set the WP to high for the Ju-87 flight they fly straight and level and will not return defensive fire. If I set the WP to medium they flight does the" crazy synchronized ballet " moves , completely unrealistic and an immersion killer but the back gunner will defend the aircraft. Is there a setting I am missing ? to have them fly a realistic formation and defend themselves ?
JimTM Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 (edited) Did you trigger a formation command a second or two after triggering the WP (medium or low)? That may help, but I haven't tested it. Edited July 26, 2016 by JimTM

Yes,, but they will not defend themselves if WP is set to high. Incidentally it makes no difference what setting the individual aircraft are set at i.e. " Ace ". I have to say the SP mode is very underwhelming and incomplete.
JimTM Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Hopefully, some of the strange AI behavior will get better as the product matures.
Juri_JS Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 What you've described is indeed an annoying problem, that I've noticed too. I think you should make a bug report.
SYN_Haashashin Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 If I set the WP to high for the Ju-87 flight they fly straight and level and will not return defensive fire. High priority on WP is like telling them not to do anything but to get there, I think it was meant for fighters only but when used with bombers....well it makes thing seem weird. If I set the WP to medium they flight does the" crazy synchronized ballet " moves , completely unrealistic and an immersion killer Is this exclusive of the Ju87?? In my testings, as I build something, I have not seen this behaviour with other german bombers/attack planes. They keep formation and defend theirself (their accuracy its another matter). If its a bug report is needed for sure.

It is most noticible on the IL-2 and the Ju-87, the twin engine bombers do it as well but it isnot as obvious but still annoying. They sway back and forth like a sail in the wind. It becomes more noticeable if I shoot one of bombers out of formation.
NETSCAPE Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Looks like I need to change almost all my waypoints from high priority to normal.....

They become crasy and bump themselve (if you use spawn unit). It's been a long time i report that problem and ask a real settings for bombers. Sometime, with a patch, the problem decrease, and after another patch, it increase, but nothing is fixe. I have a mission with that problem, if i have time, i'll do a movie.
