Hi All.

This query is directed to Thrustmaster joystick uses, has anyone tried out the Thrustmaster software T.A.R.G.E.T [ thrustmaster, advanced, programming, graphical, editor ] I came across this recently and was wondering if it would be beneficial in any way ?

Cheers. :salute:

Yes indeed i have ,

I have windows 10 now , but i am afraid once you unplug your joystick it assigns another ID number when plugged back in to play this game ` so you loose all your settings , So i decided too go through TARGET .

You have too assign most if not all key assignments of the game into TARGET too get it too run correctly .

However i ran into problems when my ID was yet again changed .

Try TARGET i had a curve settings on axis and worked quite well but its turned out to be a pain with the ID changes for me .

I was told if i went through TARGET my joysticks ID  wouldn't change but im afraid it did change again and i had yet again reassign keys.

I think this is the forth time i have reassigned joystick keys these last couples of months .

I am now back with the game joystick settings and i don`t unplug my joysticks anymore  . Sad really .

I wish this game had the DCS  joysticks configuration so much easier and more control .

It is well worth the time and effort to learn the TARGET software, it is very powerful in what you can do with it. It does have a bit of a learning curve though, but the end results justify it.

Start out with the advanced editor, don't even bother with the basic. Once you get comfortable using the advanced, start reading up on the script editor. The script editor is more raw, but is where the software really shines in what it can do.

Alternatively, you could try and use "Joy2key".

It's a little program that will let you assign all sorts of functions to your buttons. Basically, you can use it to have your devices send out any type of keyboard key or combination of keys through a button. Plus it'll let you define buttons as "toggle-switches" (very useful if you want to use one of your stick's buttons to toggle gunsight view on/off for example) or lets you set them to "auto-repeat" their output at a pre-defined speed and interval.

I'm not using TM-products, but I've tried both joy2key and CH's control manager software for my CH Pro Throttle (using a mixed HOTAS setup limits the usefulness of CH's SW for me) and it seems just as powerful and works just as well as the CH software.
