Muddy Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Ok in a bomber you get weather data in the bomb sight menu, (ie, wind 3 m/s @ 275)is there any way to get that same info in a fighter of in the pre-mission/quick action screen? Have discovered that an E6B works quite well on windy outings to run long distance to target and not have to keep looking at the live map feature for where the hell I am. Lol Would like to pre-plan befor sitting in cockpit. Regards.
Monostripezebra Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 I would also suggest making weather info not artificially limited to up to 5k but maybe 8k/9k the alt weatherballoons would go, so players could bomb or pre-plan flights at high alt, too
AwesomeSprawvy Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 (edited) Unfortunately, there isn't at the moment. This was something I was curious about a little while back as I also enjoy the navigation aspect and use a Jeppesen CR-3 for the fun of it. I would recommend you add your thoughts to the suggestions sub forum here: http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/12-suggestions/?prune_day=100&sort_by=Z-A&sort_key=last_post&topicfilter=all. I also think it would be great to have the wind information displayed on the main map and not just on the bombsight screen. Edited July 9, 2016 by AwesomeSprawvy
