The Sound Problem! Possible Solution

So I recently got Fallout 4 (late I know)!

 

I had a problem that drove me nuts!!!!!!!! All sound were working apart from the direct conversation sounds.

 

 

I tried all the underground hacks, replacing files, upgrading files ....... IT WAS A MISSION!!!!!!!!!!! And I ultimately thought I will not be able to play this game.

 

One last desperation search told me that Fallout 4 plays the speech through the centre speaker and that I should make sure my sound set up is in the format that the game works with!

 

I only have two front facing speakers (hence it was playing centre sound to a non-existent speaker) but my motherboard software had all of the fancy sound outputs checked! So all i did was select front speakers only and low and behold everything worked!!!!!!!!

 

I guess what I am trying to say is make sure that you're onboard sound is set up to exactly what you have!! 

 

This Might explain some of the discrepancies between users regarding sound inconsistencies
