=WH=PangolinWranglin Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 (edited) I am attempting to make a set of custom skins for me and my friends but I am having issues applying a sharkmouth the 109 G2. Any tips trick for getting the sharkmouth to look smooth and cover the nose and radiators? Thanks for any help! Edited July 5, 2016 by spaceman1999
PFR_Bearkiller72 Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 (edited) Hi, there. That's a thing of applying and testing (as the skinning process is most of the times). Find the areas to be covered and which part of your desired sharkmouth fits where. There's a wireframe layer in the each template, which shows you what goes where (you need to "unhide" it). Mask, copy & paste your sharkmouth into the template as a separate object (layer). Then it's a matter of mask, copy and paste and endless hours of testing and checking in game and skin viewer, to come to a result of your choice. Here's an example how a sharkmouth was actually applied on a 109: Also check simmerspaintshop.com on how-to's for the skinning process, always something helpful there. Good Luck! =WH=PangolinWranglin Posted July 9, 2016 Author Posted July 9, 2016 Both methods. I just don't understand what the different parts of the skin template are.
216th_Lucas_From_Hell Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Check this thread out: http://riseofflight.com/forum/topic/30767-panel-finder-anyone/ See if you can identify the areas you need with the wireframe, and if that fails download the panel finder in that file and apply it as a layer on top of everything. Once that's done, export that as a skin, open the viewer and check which grid/colour the part you're looking for is, then apply the shark mouth and correct it as needed
707shap_Srbin Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 I'll do both variants tomorow. Today we fly IN WAR.
=WH=PangolinWranglin Posted July 9, 2016 Author Posted July 9, 2016 Thanks for the suggestion Lucas. I've been away from home most of the day today so I'll try that soon.
beepee Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Here is a Sharkmouth layer in .psd format. https://www.mediafire.com/?quv2mtv1d48njge It is for the 110E2, but may be it could be used for the 109 with a bit of tweaking? I can't remember the source for this, but it is probably from one of the skinning legends like SPEKTRE or Panzerbar.
