Planes of Fame Museum. Chino, CA

After 13 or so years, I visited Planes of Fame in Chino, CA yesterday. Funny it took me that long to revisit as it was only 20 minutes away. They did a lot of renovations and improvements since my last visit. Anyway, here are some BoS/BoM related aircrafts in their wide inventory.

Keep in mind the Fw is a Flugwerk 190N but she is a beauty to see fly. I once drove four hours to see her fly for twenty minutes before turning around and driving four hours home :)

The 109, an E-7?

Great pics btw.

Lizard,

We must live near each other. We should grab lunch sometime.

Great to see, and also to have them all, and a few more, so well replicated, in all aspects, from the visuals to the flight dynamics, in IL-2 BoS / BoM !

To get the most information during one of your visits come in on a  Saturday. Saturday's are when the museum has the most Docent's on site and there are Volunteers working on the projects in the restoration hangar.

Nice photos! Planes of Fame has an excellent collection of Warbirds!

That would be most awesome! Are you a volunteer there?

Anyone going to the Planes of Fame Airshow next week (May 6-7)? I'll be there Sunday.

I might go, but it gets so friggin' hot on that tarmac in May.

Shorts, sunblock and water man.

I'll be there with kid and wife in tow for Sunday. I've got the little girl hooked on big bore engines now and the wife enjoys it for a single day.

Lemme know. It'd be good to hang out a bit again. We will get there early to be near front and center.

Neckerchief soaked in water from time to time also does wonders when it's hot.

I was going to go, but the lousy weather kept me and and the misses away.

It only ruined the finale. Made the lighting horrible for photos. (New camera and lens plus average skills) I've been meaning to post them but haven't found the time.
