Fisher7 Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Hi Guys, I just bought the above mentioned stick and wondering if there is any way I can assign the prop rpm controls to the p-axis that is the rocker key on the throttle originally intended to be a "second rudder". I have tried all I could but no avail. The axis always returns to the center position so I can't use it as a slider for rpm control. Any idea? Thanx
216th_Lucas_From_Hell Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 It's hard to use it for anything else but a rudder (which is what I use it for - way more control and less interference from the stick) because, as you said, it always returns to the middle. One way around it would be to use Joy2Key and assign a key on the stick to be Ctrl or another modifier. That way the rocker switch's movement would only be detected for RPM if you are holding the Ctrl key on the stick (whichever you choose it to be), so you would have to press Ctrl, move the rocker then release Ctrl. A possible problem would be that unless you bring the rocker to your intended position before pressing Ctrl, the RPM will drop/rise to 50% before you adjust it, but I believe that shouldn't have any major consequences.
Sokol1 Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Will be more practical use this axis to emulate keypress - through Joy2Key or Xpadder, this model is not supported by Tm TARGET - and use for increase/decrease mixture in digital way (key press), so the return to center spring don't bother.
