Corto Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Luftwaffe (FW190 ) and from time to time VVS (P-39, P40 etc. if coming )
Jaws2002 Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 (edited) 14 to 39%... so sad. A lot of people that will fly red are on the Russian forum, so I doubt it will be this bad online. There are plenty cool Russian planes. I'm sure many players will fly both sides. Why miss half the game? Edited August 27, 2013 by Jaws2002
TheNotoriousFNG Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 I always pick the side that has the fewest players to help balance out the server. This is what I do. While sometimes I'm flying the "inferior" or not my first choice aircraft, I'd rather balance out the server than stack one side and potentially ruin the experience of some players. 1
VeryOldMan Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Ummmm, both of course, never understood people who only fly one side. Do you get the game half price or something? Liking a specific plane mostly. I love Fw190.. therefore whenever I can , I shall fly one.
SYN_Jedders Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 We will probably fly VVS given the probable team stacking that will go on. We dont intend to make it easy for Zee Germanzz
JGzbV_Manni Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 (edited) As i am in a Virtual Luftwaffe unit i will only fly German aircraft, i will fly german aircraft offline to get used to the new FM . I dont see the point in learning to fly VVS planes as i will never use them. I wont even buy the VVS planes as they are released as add ons .Not because im tight with money but because i dont want to fly VVS planes, they dont interest me. Which is why i joined a LW unit in the first place. thats why you will never know the oponents weaknesses & strengths which will affect your skill in the end. Edited September 18, 2013 by JGzbV_Manni
ImPeRaToR Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 thats why you will never know the oponents weaknesses & strengths which will affect your skill in the end. One less opponent to worry about
JGzbV_Manni Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 but when i need to spend ammunition i would rather spend them on a target worth it
ImPeRaToR Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 As =FB=Weeper is demonstrating here you don't need to spend ammunition to get rid of opponents
=VNVV=Stoyanov Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 We need a "Maneuver Kill" message like in "Warbids"
Lord_Haw-Haw Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 We need a "Maneuver Kill" message like in "Warbids" Yeah sort of like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7Om0JTgCCs
=VNVV=Stoyanov Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 (edited) Yeah sort of like this? not at all, the =FB= guys are WarBirds (FreeHost) veterans they know what im talking about. Let me explain, cause most of you dont even know this game. When you maneuver low over ground and the enemy crashes nearby, because of stall or stupid attack you get an ingame message that credits you with a "Maneuver Kill". Edited September 18, 2013 by =VNVV=Stoyanov
Lord_Haw-Haw Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Hmm that sounds like a rather "gamey" thing................hope nothing like that is added! 1
=VNVV=Stoyanov Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 (edited) Im sure all the other "pro pilots" won't like it too Seeing your name in this message will hurt bad Edited September 18, 2013 by =VNVV=Stoyanov
=LD=Hethwill Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 (edited) Fly both and all in the future with no specific regularity ( day in day out or simply sortie in sortie out ) Of course having favourite rides weights a bit but so far the available birds make it quite even. Edited September 18, 2013 by =LD=Hethwill
Bearcat Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Hmm that sounds like a rather "gamey" thing................hope nothing like that is added! Sounds gamey to me too.. no thanks.. unless you put some shots in the guy.. 2
Sokol1 Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 (edited) Sounds gamey to me too.. no thanks.. unless you put some shots in the guy.. Cesar Rodriguez dont agree... Sokol1 Edited September 19, 2013 by Sokol1
Bearcat Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Yeah but how do you implement that in a sim.. If you are close to a guy and he crashes you get points? What if there is more than one person close to him? What if he was just a bad pilot and you had little to do with his crash? What if the phone rang or his cat jumped on the keyboard or he lost power.. RL is one thing.. I just don't see how this could be implemented and I also don't see a developer taking the time to do it right.. unless they had an already finished product and were just adding bells and whistles.. 1

Lord_Haw-Haw Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 There is one exception that I know of that might be worth thinking about. This is an incedent that happend with the KG 51 where a Ju 88 tried to bomb a fleeing soviet tank on the frozen Sea of Azov but missed the tank, but caused the ice to break and so sunk the tank. see top left picture: But this seems to be something very rare, so actually not worth while spending time on.
Knight Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Me and the 109 F-4 were made for each other :D
The-Mysteron Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 OMG nobody told you this is not for real.... WHAT !! You mean to tell me im not going to timewarped on release day into the cockpit of a 109 on an airfield in Russia . If this doesn't happen i am going to demand a full refund. I cant believe it i hope you are joking!
Cybermat47 Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Mostly Luftwaffe, but I'll switch sides if the Commies get outnumbered. Hmm that sounds like a rather "gamey" thing................hope nothing like that is added! JA! The PURITY of the MASTER RACE shall not be tainted by those dirty, filthy little people who play games for FUN!
dkoor Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I'll fly for who pays me more. OMG nobody told you this is not for real.... Hehe +1
dkoor Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 (edited) We need a "Maneuver Kill" message like in "Warbids" I'd like to see maneuver kills being credited here and there. There are significant probs with this scheme I understand that but... http://www.youtube.c...h?v=1e9bNiq07kw What if I haven't put few rounds in this guy before he went in? I'd probably eat myself inside out after fight like this. Edited October 10, 2013 by dkoor
[RG]Flanker1985 Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 I never play on the Fascist side, and never will.

In Warbirds this work something like: the more close pilot to crash site get the credit, independent if attack or or no the downed aircraft. The point this is: make pilots care with our virtual life/plane, since is nasty see your name in host messages, killed by "bad piloting". In CloD™ HRCLODWAR (similar too SEOW, but more advanced) to make pilots care with his virtual life they lost his... nickname. A dead or incapacitated - that can be happen by "surgical amputation" if pilot RTB injured (depend on seriousness of injures) - pilot lost his nickname in current campaign. He can fly again if create another STEAM nick (example Sokol2 ) but not with the original. Dead is dead. Of course this is (like in Warbirds) enforced by host rules, dont agree... dont play. SvAF/F19_vonAfton Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Im gonna fly anything i can! Will be fun comparing the FW-190 A3 to the LA-5
thx1138 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 (edited) I usually fly for the side that has the fewest players, so in this case it means I'll be flying for the VVS a lot! Za Rodinu!!!!! hehe. All the aircraft available in any sim I have played bring something different and challenging to the table, so I don't limit myself to just one type. Or more succinctly... Blondes? Brunettes? Red Heads? Yes. Blondes please. (don't tell my GF that tho, she is not a blonde) I voted VVS. It's worked out well before as it seems that everyone wants to fly for the LW in Il2 (unless there are P 51's available) Edited November 7, 2013 by thx1138
thx1138 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 (edited) As =FB=Weeper is demonstrating here you don't need to spend ammunition to get rid of opponents Wow, that was NICE ! A whole bunch of people who caught H2O disease. Was that weeper who stayed with the Dr1 got him and then another ? Impressive flying ! The Brandenburg did put of a good fight too, ought to give him some hutzpha points. Edited November 7, 2013 by thx1138
Karost Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 (edited) Luftwaffe is my poll but who like to fly both side are a smart one Edited November 16, 2013 by karost
150GCT_Gryphon Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I'll fly both sides during the same round , yes I'm a turncoat
