Level-bombing worked, too. A fine carpet of bombs right on target - bulls eye:

 

Very few bad guys made it through the P-47-screen and got served by the A-20 gunners (might have been Schuck here)

 

Poor A-20 got some hits, too. But made it back to Taman!

That was a lot of fun, although we had our problems with hooking up with the A20's initially. Really love the P-47, especially as a ground attacker! Very versatile aircraft.

After I got disconnected yesterday I seem to be unable to connect to IL 2 all together. Works fine in DCS and COD

Thumbs up on the Pics and Vid everyone.

 

Thought this was an excellent first foray using a historic Autumn 1944 plane set for FNBF. High altitude ops and a healthy amount of ground pounding in a target rich environment. 190s and P-47s excelled down low with the 47 holding its' own up high against very good opposition. Only thing that was missing was the 2nd TAC as we only had a couple drivers for the first sortie.

Albeit the 1 Spit which flew with the 47s frontal sweep came in mighty handy indeed and after folks were able to switch more came into the frays.

Great stuff and thoroughly enjoyed the mission.

Have him up with ya's in a G-6. If Wolfert shows NP as Axis has 2 slots as throw downs for the moment.

Hey Tip, can you place all of the JaVA boys in the Spitfire freeing up the P-47 so we can fly together? I think Rednek also understands some dutch so he can understand when we start cursing eachother again!  (don't worry Retnek we'll stick to english as much as we can because we speak it very goodly)
