That was a nice mission, as usal, thanks for it Tip !

 

NN was escorting Pe-2 during their 2 flights.

 

We've seen some shots near the grounds over the first target but seems the other Yaks were doing the job well, no call on radio for help so we stayed with our bombers.

 

On the second one, Pe-2 spotted a He-111, must be a recon their and alone, so we shot him down but his gunner hardly damaged my cooling system and engine so I headed to the base alone with my grey/dark smoke but just when my engine started to die (RMP jumping), a Me-109 shot at me so I ejected.

 

Then fly back with my mates, we went near Il-2s' target to help and protect, we saw 109 over starting to B&Z. We met a 109 quite high with more energy, try to fight but darkness was his ally.

When I use the World Time Buddy it shows that all CET is the same. All France seems to be at 20:00 hrs or UTC +1.

Were you guys starting at 21:00 Hrs or UTC +2 before?

Before we were UTC + 2. So 19h UTC was 21 h for us

 

Since last week end  we are UTC +1. So 19 h UTC is  now 20 h for us.

 

The change of hours is supposed to save us oil.

As far as I'm concerned I'm getting tired of it!

The UK, Ireland and Portugal are out of step with the rest of Europe timewise. UTC=GMT so for any of us in these three countries it's a 7 o'clock start this evening. Good spot Jordan, I'd have turned up late.

From this PC the video card was broken and this has now been replaced by a used GTX 770, but he was not fast enough to play the game well at the highest settings .

 

A framerate of 60 fps was difficult to get, and the PC was often very hot when I was playing.

 

So, therefore, I decided to make a new one after seven years of loyal service.

 

My oldest daughter is now very happy with this old PC that is still fine for normal use ( Facebook , netflix  , YouTube , music and that kind of stuff )

 

 

 

It was a big investment, but I'm very happy with it  ;-)

 

 

 

 

maybe a little tip ..... do not tell your wife     .....  lol .......Or tell her something later ... after the purchase......and never told het the real price  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah yes, Riksen, my demise in the Il-2. I could have tried to escape but you lot would have got me anyway, so I carried on attacking until the inevitable end. We were down to our last couple of pilots by then, so being set upon by half of the Luftwaffe could only end one way. S!

At the end, we wad turning back, chating with Tomcat, i scarded a few moment before, when the "sneaky messer'" (he will recognise himself ) try to send ad patres my wingman NN_Voltigeur. By the way, Tomcat learned me a new "messer trap"  , but it seams it's need little more work on it.....

I know it's a very big risk (Flak, ennemy fighters) but I have to destroy these dugouts. I leave you my boots Alleluia (private joke).

The Pe2, like the lizards, give up some of their tail to their attacker to survive.

 

This 109 did not let itself be abused.

 

 

Note how fire is an excellent motivation to eject very high!

[216th_Lucas_From_Hell]

Flew three sorties yesterday.

 

1. Flying #3 out of 4 La-5F, we followed the route and sure enough stumbled upon enemy emplacements. Eight bombs and some cannon rounds later, we probably disrupted the German Army's breakfast in that sector. We lost #1 to a disconnect but proceeded with the mission. A single Bf-109 was encountered, but it ran away with the tail between its legs. We were approaching the base and moving to pattern altitude when I was disconnected myself.

 

2. Flying #2 out of 2 this time, we bombed our targets successfully and went on about our business when a group of Bf-109s came over us. A very tame and controlled engagement seemed fully in our hands when I decided to spice it up. Flying cover to the flight leader, I came too close but followed him nonetheless as we chased a Messer vertically. What was about to be an easy victory became a comical disaster - gravity sent me directly in front of the pair of ShVAKs, and our aircraft collided with both engines quitting immediately. With some luck and energy, I managed a controlled glide to land wheels up behind friendly lines. The aircraft was in a very good state, bar bullet holes in the wings and engine. What a disaster!

 

3. Flying #2 out of 2 again, we went hunting for the Luftwaffe but once again I was disconnected from the server.
