Friday Night Bomber Flight Topic

Only thing really negative from last mission for me was, when a certain axis pilot said "nice kill steal" during a coop team based event that kinda killed my immersion really hard.  

 

Guess its better that entire axis side now ask that pilot, if it's ok to shoot at the aircraft we are about to attack before we do or if he claimed it for himself already, on a so called team based coop event! 

 

PS: Guess the court martial for not doing once's duties from a mission(flak suppression) ago didn't have any effect on certain pilots just yet! 

 

PSS: Communication was much better, especially with the bomber elements during last mission, way to go gents!

Definite arcadish tendencies creeping into FNBFs - I don't like it. Nav. lights as markers and inappropriate skins. This shouldn't be down to Tip to sort out; we ought to be able to police ourselves.

PS Flares are definitely ok - for the reasons said above, plus the infantry units fire them off constantly until you can eliminate the truck that's doing it!

Yes please calm down everyone Navlights don't violate any rules yet (I'm all for excluding it though) and I can see how using them feels arcardish but its really not a super big deal. The planes would also have found the Pe-2s without the navlights.

 

I absolutly respect everyone's opinion on the matter and even after not doing it myself(using flares), it's not against the rules and right now still just each and everyone's own opinion not more not less, so please calm down.

It was me who said it so why not just say it. You know there were two 109s already attacking that Pe-2 and he was smoking and leaking rad and fuel from both engines. Instead of covering us, you decided to jump in front of us so yeah it was ur behaviour that was an arcade one. I'll take Luse's lead and will be leaving too ... perhaps it is better if u have the whole event for urself

Ok this time it was not me for sure. I was using a custom skin and didnt put nav lights on at all but I did see someone shooting a red flare during the mission (which I assume is ok right?)

You just forgot to.mention that in the mission I blinked my nav lights was at your request Jizzo. During the dogfight you wanted to find me and help take out the enemy. The diference is that im just honest about it and dony worry Im not taking the whole LSAC group with me ... I was told after I flipped on the Christmas tree that it would cause an issue but I had no idea it would be this bad... We've got some real crybabies in here. God forbid someone actually uses the tools available to him.

 

And this attitude of "if everyone doesn't fly the way I like it I'm going to leave and never fly again and then you will be flying alone".... No I don't think that would be the case at all and it just shows how childish you are.

 

I have to work for the next few FNBF events, unfortunately, but I'll be back. You will see me coming.

So much for honesty, yet i did ask if you can give me lights or a flare since i didn't know if you can do the latter i asked for both at the same time after you called you have six to just get to you as fast as possible and help you right !?

 

And since i left JG52 and continued to fly FNBF i never except once very late this year died(from ff incident) hence if i'd still be part of the LSAC i'd be around 200+ kills and around 250+ missions on the "DID", only flying FNBF even after i started flying very early again when i couldn't even use my hand properly after my surgery, so yeah think what you want Riksen.

 

The big difference between you and me is that i would never ever let anyone down during a mission, even if i would know that guy being attacked is a guy i don't like, i would do everything to save him, or ditch an entire event forever after being critized or not agreeing with someone like you obviously do!

 

And we do what we are charged with according to the briefing no matter how dangerous the task is not like you who are ordered to take out the flak to give the bombers and attackers a higher chance of survival then after the mission not have single ground kill because it might be too dangerous for your personaly glory in getting a higher kill streak for your "Dead is Dead" flying!

I am refering to the time i was Staffelkapitän and the good time i had, up to the day "Neun" did what he did and ruined it for some of us, but he later personally apologized to me and we are still friends!

PS: And i do believe you don't even know what squadrons i was part off and nor where you present, when stuff happend which made me leave them at a later point, little man!

Was a good mission yesterday Tip, like always.

 

Sadly I had to leave after the 1 st mission.

 

P.S. Drifter, Jizzo and Riksen :

 

Every leader have his pro and con. It's like a hockey team...we need to adjust to the key leader.

I don't think guys it's the best place to talk of this here for respect of the work of Tip. I enjoy to fly with Jizzo and Riksen but they are two kind of different leader. I hardly see in my life 2 leaders with the same skills and abilities.

I had a blast, got shot up twice when I wasn't paying attention, got shot up once when I underestimated an IL-2 (weird to be on the receiving end of that hahaha!)

 

Saved some Stukas from a Spitfire, escorted 88s in/out to target...  fired some flares...  got disco'd once... 

 

And you know what?  It was a blast.  I don't want to get into any of the various pissing contests going on, but I would ask you this...

 

Did you have fun?  If there was something you didn't like, was it really that big of a deal?  

 

Thanks for making this happen, Tip... FNBF is where BoX shines.

But Yes, there where a few things i saw last night that was just not FNBF, 

So can we agree on a couple of things:

 

1: If there is an aircraft being attacked, don't jump in front of the attacker to shoot it down, especially if there is black smoke pouring from it! You know who you were!

2: Nav lights, are just that.... landing, taking off, and forming up all within the boundaries of the airfield. Nowhere else.

3: Flares:  Red= emergency landings, or runway not clear, we are under attack etc.

                 Green= runway clear for landing, take off signal, friendly identification etc

                 White= used for enemy spotting,(air or ground), rescuing downed pilots, or any use other than red or green.

If anyone wants to add anything to avoid any future misunderstandings?

Its common sense really, lets not let the high standards slip..

 

Special thanks to Hund, and Riksen, and of course Tip for a great evening.    (and all the hard work he puts into FNBF)

And all the Reds for giving me the targets to shoot at

The pe2 then smoked Krupinski's engine, thats when we went in to attack it. Krupinski for some odd reason, even smoking black, decided to attack again but his engine died immediately after ... so it was Drifter and I until you decided to do what u did. As you can see, you just proved that ur poor behaviour and now even laughs about it. Anyways, I agree it is a team effort so why not cover us instead of jumping in front of us just like we did when Krupinski did his attack? If everybody was there at time (and it is nearly impossible from all my experience in coordinating any kind of event) during the time I was trying to split the fighters forces with their duties and to be sure that the communication was centralized at some points.

 

 

A lot of this trouble should not be there.

 

Tip is making this event... our duty from at least squad guys should be  to offer him coordinate elements... some of us are pretty experienced guys....and a lot of you could be shamed to cry about communication when we know how to handle that.

 

A lot of you know me that I like to manage things and trying to put people together or even squads in coordination. 

But sometime in FNBF my schedule doesn't offer me the possibility to do so.

 

This is what I try to do most of the time

• to be aware of the situation and the objectives of each element;
• to be in charge of deploying escort to each element in need;
• to be in charge of keeping air superiority over the sector;
• to be in communication with all element if needed;
• confirmed that fighter escort and bomber are in communication;
• to re-deploy element if needed;
• to be the person''key'' for tactical coordination of all element .

But it's pretty easy... and Tip doesn't have the time to handle that during the beginning of the event...

First of all stop this Staffelkapitain shit. Who cares about that? U do know this is a game right? Its not like I have that on my resumee or have the need to write in my profile that im an ace ... cmon. I dont know what u are using but you should seriously consider stoping it or maybe you just realized that you just proved my point by presenting the stats page and now need to start coming up with stuff I didnt say?

Nice pics , everyone, And my apologies for my comment in the drama department. Tip should not have to police a bunch of grown ups. For my sake I am totally finnished with public servers and BOX in general. FNBF is the only thing keeping me in this game, seeing stats hunt and WOL / WT tendencies in a small scale was apaerently enough for me to tip over, and that is wrong of me. I care not for the use of light and occational frustrated remarks on the chat, me policing that is wrong, it should not be any rules just fun. Again I am sorry

your first rounds hit the pe2 at 14:06 (when your own claim is to only have covered Krup with your wingmen and not SHOT AT THE PE2 at all where he still was undamaged according to log)

he first got damaged at 14:55 

bailed out at 15:27
