Hello all !

So far we have 6 french potential Pe2 ser87 pilots.

I know we only have 5 planes. I asked people to let me know who would be there.

So 5 of us + 1 uncertain ?

Friday Night Bomber Flights Mission September 29th "Kuban43" AAR

Pilot Stats*

Well Flown All! Great start to the Kuban Campaign!

Participation makes it Happen.

Tip

I just read these stats for the first time and they don't add up.

VVS:

Elements of the 5th Guards Tank Brigade moved into Ust'-Labinskaya.

Forced Vonezhskaya Defensive Line to withdraw with heavy losses.

Destroyed 46th Inft. position in Sector 1332.

Destroyed 1 Ammo Bunker. 5 Cargo Dumps. 1 Dugout Complex. Arkhipo-Osipovka.

Destroyed 3 Dugout Complexes. 3 Ammo Bunkers. 6 Fuel Bunkers. Vonezhskaya.

Damaged 1 Dugout. Saratovskaya.

when I know that the two PE2s I escorted destroyed 5 fuel bunkers on their first sortie to the factory in the North near the lake and some had already been destroyed when they arrived.  They went back and destroyed 10 more.   Even if you count each group of four barrels as being 1 fuel dump you can see that before my group dropped their first bomb there were already 9 destroyed.  Perhaps the stores on the Right of picture were not fuel but then you are left with 'Why does this pair show 15 fuel barrels destroyed in the stats?' because even counting 4 as being 'one dump' that  means they destroyed nearly 4 dumps and there were only three left when they first arrived.

NOTE:  This is not a complaint about anyone not getting their full credit.  I am just confused about how things are counted.

There are a few pictures in my AAr http://roblex56raf.livejournal.com/#post-roblex56raf-26912  but I did not catch the second raid.

@56RAF_Roblex

it must be known that there is no automatic method to know what has been destroyed. Everything must be done by hand. This is very long and annoying. So Tip remains the master of the game for destruction reports: it is not necessarily very precise and it can not be ... as in real life!

But you can take pics and send to Tip by Mp after your action : it will probably help Tip to write his AAR !

best regards

Bex

No worries. In your picture there are 6 Fuel Bunkers. 5 of which are destroyed. Each of those Bunkers are made up of several items which the Stats program registers individually as destroyed. Within the Chat_log these are also registered. Both Stats program and the Chat_log are not 100% accurate.

You may of also noticed that the total planes destroyed count also varies from what is registered within the stats program and the AAR. For these I've found that the Chat_log is more accurate that the Stats program in this.

The AAR is a combination of both program and log. Along with players AAR reports.

The end result of the action in that sector and more importantly overall with regards to the Campaign is that air/attacks "Forced Vonezhskaya Defensive Line to withdraw with heavy losses".

an IL2-43, please!

Hi, I sign on for a flight in a IL 2 if possible.

Posted

Finally, a chance I can make it this week.  One Il-2 '43 for me please Tip, if that one's still open.  Otherwise a '42 is also just fine.

Thanks!

P.S.  Hope things are progressing well down your way with Harvey recovery.

Frankly Harvey sucked and still does as can be imagined. But we're moving forward.

Have you down in a '43 Blue...

Nice pics and a great time all!

Bex you wouldn't want it any other way.

Was a full muster for the Luftwaffe faithful at that airfield.

That gunner certainly appears to be pondering his short(?) existence. Nice touch...

Sorry the He111s weren't as effective as we should have been, lack of practice is what I blame, but good fun nonetheless. Thanks Tip.

What???

Think nothing of it. FNBF is about having immersive fun with all that this sim has to offer.

Get 'em next time...

btw you guys destroyed some ammo bunkers at the target. Can you give me a heads up on which ones.

If effective effort was the measure for staying in FnBf I am afraid there would not be too many in here. I manage to kill one tank before my wing got ripped off by a aggressive control tower jumping right in front of my flightpath . I had 10 minutes of fun this friday, hope to make 15 minutes next week

Our IL2 formation had a great success on the first target, Saratoskaya, where all the AAA and enemy armor was obliterated. Don't know if the Pe2's destroyed later the remaining dugouts.

The second target was tough, we were obliterated by AA and a flight of Bf110 that we fail to spot when arriving to Vasurinskaya.

that was us trying to be gung-ho and forgetting to drop our bombs before engaging you lot unsuccesfuly, but it taught me a valuable lesson...dont be distracted from your primary objective.

It was fuel bunkers that were hit on the north eastern side of the airfield
