Thanks Everyone for a Successful Launch!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has participated this week in the launch of the Early Access. Overall it has been a big success so far technically with minimal issues. Good to see so many flyers having fun for a change while starting to realize our vision for a WWII product.

The early days of ROF were so awfully negative and difficult that this has been a nice change of pace for me and the team. Of course, without those early troubles we would not have learned how to get better, but we have and now the folks who stuck by us the past four years get to have a new sim to enjoy. The rest of the community now has an additional option to consider which is always a good thing. So special thanks to all who have supported us in the past and the newcomers who see the potential for BOS in the future.

Loft will have a new Dev Blog tomorrow where you can learn about the plan for next week. There is still A LOT to work on, but It only gets better from here!

:salute:

Hi Jason

A big thank you to you and the entire development team for your amazing achievement so far and bringing us this wonderful simulation. I cannot wait to see the finished product and thank you for adding in crosswinds- the effect is superb.

By the way, when will the BF-109 be released?

Thanks again.

And a big thank you to the developers, for what is shaping out to be a great simulator, and a worthy stablemate to RoF.  :salute:

I didn'tdo much flying this week but I think it was only ROF that made pure flying, without enemy planes and ground unis, so enjoyable, just because the flying itself is such fun. Now the same I am experiencing with BOS. I'm an sure it will be a great pieceis a simulation! Thanks and I'm looking forward for whatever you guys have in sleeve for us; )

Yep, very positive here on the forums. As expected there were a few bugs but overall what we had to play with was fantastic. I don't think there is really any doubt now that this is the definitive flight sim of the next 6-10 years. I greatly look forwards to what the coming months will bring for us.

Having a blast so far! I havent looked forward to something like this and actually have it deliver in SO SO long. Great work Jason and 1CGS!

Great start Jason most impressed.

A small request - Would it be possible to set up another small mission that starts half way down the downwind leg that can be used for landing practice?

I have hundreds of real life landings under my belt, 10 years of IL2 and flying RoF since it was released and never had a problem with landings - Including carrier landings in pacific fighters.

However, I have not managed many nothing broken landings and only 2 that didn't culminate with a ground loop at the end of the landing run with the LaaG.

It was more than I expected it would be and that was a great surprise :)

Great work so far, not unexpected after the job 777 did in resurrecting ROF from it's early disasters.

I'm actually happy with the way it's been released, as it gives me some time to sit back and smell the roses before enjoying the next stage. :)

Great Work Guys! Can't expect the next 'round'.

After 4 years of ROF, i of course did expect a great experience with the Lagg, but you even exceeded that !

Well done to the whole team!

Not had this much fun just learning and flying in a long time, we are at the start of something very special.

Dare i say it...its a new dawn for WW2 flight sims....

Nothing more to add here in this regard. Had many great hours in the LaGG this week. That was an outstanding experience. Many thanks to You (developers) and much luck for the lots of work that is still ahead of You. You proofed skill and professionality.

After hours of frost and snow and nearly getting whiteouts and snowblind, I enjoyeyd a great flight over sunny flanders in a D.H.4 hehe. So here comes but one sole request: I am fully aware that BoS needs Your full attention until its final release. And sure there is a bigger customerbase than for a WWI sim. But please don't abandon RoF. If You are short of resources, why not let 3rd party teams do the trick? Wasn't that the case with the CL II?

So this is not a complain after all! Carry on with You fantastic work and make us flightsimmers happy!

Great thank you! Well I invested $ 90! I look forward to the Bf-109F-4

Last week four games fell into my hands. After seven days I can easily say that an early alpha build from you guys gave me more fun and satisfaction than any of the remaining three "finished" products. Keep up the GREAT work!

Thanks so much team ... what a job well done.

I'll look into it Pierre.

Thanks Jason. After reading the forums I'm sure the majority of early releasers would use and appreciate it.

Great job! It was pure pleassure to test the first steps of BoS

a small feedback, i personal think the bounce back on the landings is a bit to much. i managed a lot of sucessfull landings, but the first bounce is allways a bit too much for my taste. In RL my plane never bounces that much  funny to add, my best landings are the one with crosswinds.....

The overall impression is absolute outstanding, double thumbs up!

Cheers

Great Job, very much looking forward to seeing whats round the corner with optimizations and so on for effects. One of the areas that always makes sims struggle on peoples machines are the effects particles so I'm very interested in how this will be implemented because in rise of flight it was very well done, hoping for longer smoke trails though

Despite the minor issues that are simply part of an early Alpha I had a rock-solid experience and felt like a nervous newbie again. I'm looking forward to next week. :salute:
