Death1111 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Anyone know when the greatest fighter of all time (in other words the BF-109) is being released? 2
Death1111 Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 Seriously? I thought only ammunition was being released in the next installment?
BeastyBaiter Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Some fool lit a cigarette in the ammo bunker. Have to ship more to the front. It's a few weeks away due to partisans messing with the railways. Bf-109F4's are currently expected to arrive next week however. 4
Fifi Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 the greatest fighter of all time (in other words the BF-109)
Skoshi_Tiger Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I do believe they were shot down in the greatest number, but I could be wrong!
DD_Squawk Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Sounds like a mission planner I once knew. Shipped the empty aircraft to the front and left the ammo behind.
coldViPer Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 We've no final decision on whether or not there will be a physical boxed version. - Week 1: LaGG - Week 2: Bf 109 F-4 - AI will be added to the early access sessions 2-3 weeks after the start. - By December you’ll get ammo and we’ll start trying out various sorts of un-lockable mods. - The general Stalingrad map will be finished by January. - The Mission Editor will become available in the Spring. We've a tentative roadmap and it's all we can say you now. 1
pixelshader Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 can't wait to experience the 109 anew, the energy of that plane is so enjoyable

Skiiwa Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 (edited) Edit:^^^^^didn't read before I posted...Sorry:) So is the BF109 When it opens up for the silver tags? Edited November 22, 2013 by Skiiwa
Sim Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Have you guys thought that having a multiplayer before the guns would make for a fun early access session? Imagine everyone buzzing around in the airfield and training in the Bf 109 and LaGG-3 in a multiplayer environment 2
Belphe Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Anticipating the 109 we all look like a bunch of kids in front of a candy shop waiting for the door to open...
FlatSpinMan Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I am REALLY looking forward to that! I'll never be able to land it. Ever. And it's also known for having strong torque in take off, I believe. I already spent most of my time in the LaGG trundling in ever diminishing circles through the snow beside the runway.
Rivet Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 With a narrower gear than the LaGG, I won't have a chance landing it. I've only landed the LaGG a few times without breaking it and even then I keep doing an involuntary 360 degree pirouette before coming to a stop

I already spent most of my time in the LaGG trundling in ever diminishing circles through the snow beside the runway. It should not really be that hard to land if done correctly. Just remember to lock tailwheel, keep speed around 150-160km/h just before touching ground and always three-point it and you should be fine. With strong sidewind however it could be "bit" harder... Panzerlang Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I predict the main questions for prospective recruits to virtual LW units will be: a) Can you land the 109? b) Can you land the 109 without breaking it? c) Can you land the 109 without ground-looping it? d) Can you do all three above ten times consecutively?
Frequent_Flyer Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Seriously? I thought only ammunition was being released in the next installment? No ammunition, just a target to be released next week
334th_L0C0 Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 FF!?!?! How could you target a Bf109? ..You must be talking about one that had been captured.
YoYo Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Hope in Today (my time) like it was a week ago with first acces! Im ready .

Hey FlatSpin, BF-109 has narrow gear track and you will Love it to balance a wing tip left and right before touch down I suggest 2 cane of beer on pre-flight will help a lot
von_Tom Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 I'm not really convinced it's going to be harder than the PiGG to land. After all the 109 was supposed to have great low speed handling and it also has power. Bleeding off eergy should be easier to control as should getting to the right attitude for a landing. I'd expect that the range of landing speeds also has greater flexibility. We'll see tomorrow night.... The biggest issue between other sims and this one is, in my view, the experienced speed at which everything happens. At 200km/h the ground seems to approach far faster than in CloD or IL2 etc. Hood

It's just awesome.
Panzerlang Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 I noticed the low-level speed too. No more hang-glider feel.
