Rudder goes not automatic in central position

At first, sorry fo my bad english......

I guess their is a little fault in the flight steering setup.

If u setup the YAW to a button(one for left, one for right rudder) for exampel on the Keyboard. If u release the button, the rudder doesnt goes back in central position automaticly.

I guess that should be changed in further development prozess. It gives me a hell during takeoff procedure. U never knows were the rudder stands ur plane shakes like a drunken sailor :)

I cant believe that there are only SimPilots arround which use pedals or sliders to use the rudder.....

Or did I miss something???

At  the end, the sim as it self impressed me much! Great Job!

....seems, none then me has a prob with that :)

But honest, even in real planes, the rudder goes back in central position while u release the pedals ....... so, it should be the same in a flight sim like BOS. Isnt it!?

The controls in my real life aircraft do not self-center when at rest.

The elevator is hanging on the hinges of it's own mass.

The rudder can also be seen to be deflected.

In flight the controls can be seen to be centered.

That is normal, I am flying the aircraft  straight and level.

The controls are aligned with the airflow over the control surfaces.

The controls are also affected by the propeller slip-stream, as well as airspeed, and attitude.

The proper rudder operation would be very difficult to achieve using a keyboard IMHO.

Flying a taildragger aircraft in real life requires the pilot to learn to perform the Rudder Dance.

On landing, the feet of the pilot are literally dancing on the rudder pedals.

In Flight the controls appear to self-center, because of the airflow over the surfaces of elevators, rudder, ailerons.

The control position during flight is also affected by the adjustment of the trim controls for theses surfaces.

Thx for ur answer DairyAir and ur explanation about the real things....... nice pictures btw :)

But in every simulation i flown before the rudder were "selfcentering" while u release the key on ur keyboard....... doesnt matter if u are stands or runs with ur plane.

For me now, its ok! My pedals took place again beyond the desk and everything is fine.

BUT, what about the so called Flightsim-Newbies....... none of them has pedals or HOTAS systems filled with hundred of keys and axis.

They use at first a simple stick and in adition their keyboard......and then, they find a shaking plane during take off ...... i guess that will impress they much :)

Imagine that would happened to IL2 2000 ....... lol.... the community wouldnt never be so big.

Another option would be to use auto-rudder. When available in the simulation. :salute:

I did not see that movie.

The flight photo is myself inspecting the strawberry fields near CSK8 King George Air-park.

Plane is Sylvaire Bushmaster l single place machine.

Surely 99.5% of these players have a stick with twist rudder? The common models of Logitech, Saitek, Thrustmaster etc all do.

I would think only experienced players buy non twist sticks like the relatively costly CH sticks?
