These forums (as are the Rise of Flight forums too) are constantly being bombarded by spam.

 

Is there any chance that the developers could put in some more (or at least different) anti-spam protection to help mitigate this problem?

I definately agree, It does not need to be that hard to fend off subscirbers but any kind of spam protection would be highly necessary.

This is a major annoyance.

Option for IP ban (here and on RoF forum) could help already; I've been banning multiple accounts spamming from same IP on RoF forums before.

 

Case in the point: current plague on BoS is single account; he had 120 posts this morning and went over 300 already.

Well...this happens from time to time. Just need to wait for one of us to show up. Also be sure the devs are aware of this and I can say the spams attacks are not even close to how bad it was a year ago more less when actions were taken.

It's more than that. People curious about the game come and check the forums and see a front page filled with spam, erroneously conclude this is a dead unmaintained game and keep their money.

Well now is solved, sorry no mod or devs did look at the forum the whole morning. As soon as one of us gets here is solved. Not a big problem, it will be different if this happens everyday, but it doesnt, believe me.

Haashashin, I'm not blaming you or any mods. 1C-777 should put something in place to lock an account that is obviously posting spam via scripts, e.g. high frequency of posting of links from a newly created account.

Some forums have other measures in place. For instance new accounts can't post for a day, or can only post in the new people thread or first posts are subject to moderator approval.
