ACG_Dickie Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 (edited) If you fly RAF or Luftwaffe in full switch, or would like to fly full switch then give us a shout. We're a laid back group where immersion and enjoyment is primary. We are of various nations in the European and North American timezones and communicate in English (to various standards) and German (6./JG26). We run "Kenley Wing" operating Hurricanes from No.501 "County of Gloucester" Squadron and Spitfires from No.64 Squadron. Last but far from least are No.615 "County of Surrey" Squadron, also on Hurricanes, to complete the wing strength for Sector B. You don't have to be an ace, we are welcoming to all standards even if you've never flown before and can't yet start your engine. Training will be provided to get you flying and enjoying our activities via 6 OTU before posting to a squadron (largely based on your preferred type). We are frequently engaged in the multisquadron campaign for CoD fielding many pilots on both Allied and Axis. We gather regularly and fly together at altitude on the public servers available plus in our own server, in immersive, historical campaigns. Our Luftwaffe operates as II./Gruppe Jagdgeschwader 26 "Schlageter", the Abbeville boys and the 'natural enemy' of Kenley Wing. II./JG26 operate the Bf109 fighter in 4.Staffel, 5.Staffel and 6.Staffel. 4./JG26 are Americas timezone English language 5./JG26 are European timezone English language 6./JG26 are German language All of these squadrons make up Air Combat Group and our goal is to have both factions fighting historically but remaining good friends. We operate a Teamspeak 3 server at 85.236.100.27:16317 - please come in anytime. Our new website is at http://www.aircombatgroup.co.uk with all the information about us, a flight school section and forums if you want to know more. Please post freely (registration not required for guests). Hope that's not too much reading, if you are interested just jump into our comms or make a post on our forums or shout at any of our members online ~S~ Osprey Edited January 17, 2014 by Osprey 1
ACG_Dickie Posted May 6, 2013 Author Posted May 6, 2013 Bumping this because we've relaunched our website and started up a new Staffel, 5./JG26
ACG_Dickie Posted October 13, 2013 Author Posted October 13, 2013 (edited) I'm bumping this because we've formally added our 3rd Staffel to complete II./JG26, we welcome 4./JG26 All of our Americas timezone pilots have transferred where 5.Staffel will contain all of our English speaking European timezone based pilots. German speaking pilots will remain in 6.Staffel. This is all updated above. We are still recruiting, come into the forums or Teamspeak and say hello. Edited October 14, 2013 by Osprey

Blakhart Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Hmmm.... I think I can find some total beginners... p.s. I would like to check details but my ip adress is permanently banned on ACG forum, dont know why... I was inactive last few months ;/
Allons Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Hi Osprey, we enjoyed very much our (too few) missions with you guys in CloD, happy to sse, ACG is developing well. Best, Allons!
FruitSalad Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Hi Osprey I joined a while back in CLOD but just couldnt stand the game, I see that the guys will be flying this one too, I hope there's still space for me, just pre-ordered!
Crazedmoon Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Hello osprey, I have just pre ordered and your squadron sonds just like the kind of group I'm looking for. I have flown flight sims a fair bit a while back (been out of action for about 5 years thogh ) I was wondering if the open offer of flying will be available come the release of BoS?
ACG_Dickie Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 Hi Crazedmoon aBOSolutely we'll no doubt be involved. Right now we are in COD and rather active. Since COD is about £10 it's a real bargain so there's no need to miss out on getting involved with us in advance anyway, especially as we are starting a campaign imminently. I really would recommend that because in all honesty it's damned fine and there's nothing else about anyway. Now, I can lead a horse to water but I can't make it drink, you're the horse here If you have any questions just ask, but please drop by our forums and say hello, or better still come into Teamspeak (connection details on our website). We'll help you with any set-up advice you need and get you into the sky. I assume you are an allied pilot from your avatar? Splendid, and it would be nice to have a scotsman aboard ~S~ Osprey @Pickle, pleased to see you last night in Teamspeak and that you decided to sign up. Just regarding your comment about COD so it's clear to others here - as you discovered the TF patches fixed those performance issues you had on the original game - so to anybody in doubt - it works just dandy. @Allons, thanks very much!
ACG_Dickie Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 (edited) Coming soon from Air Combat Group..... I think the video says it all. This is something we're working on in Air Combat Group, we are also soon to be starting an historical campaign where our squadrons can immerse in history and pay tribute to those who fought and died in the European skies all those years ago. We are recruiting new pilots of course so you can be involved if this is of interest - Allied and Axis pilots of any standard are welcome. For more information visit our website and forums, or post here PM me or drop by our Teamspeak or see my signature. ~S~ Edited November 12, 2013 by Osprey
ACG_Dickie Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 It gives me pleasure to announce that ACG are embarking on a Fall of France and Battle Of Britain campaign in Cliffs of Dover with TF4.0 starting this Sunday (24th Nov 1900 GMT). This is an historically base immersion campaign featuring human fighter pilots from our 6 internal squadrons/staffel supporting/destroying AI bombers - this is unlike other campaigns you may have seen in that we do not fly against AI fighters and that the aim is enjoyment and immersion over competition. We are welcoming people who are without squadrons who would like to experience what we do and perhaps becoming involved in ACG for the future. Please post here/PM me/join our TS/post on our forums etc if you wish to know more. ~S~
