Some reading to prepare?

Anyone have any good titles for books I should keep my eyes out for? I am thinking about books that will help me understand the Eastern front air war in particular as opposed to a mix (I have read some books on the ground war in Russia already).

 

  Gotta be ready for the new sim and this is the best way I suppose

For Stalingrad itself there are two books I'd recommend:

 

 

 

 

 

The former covers the whole battle, the latter concentrates on the timeframe after the conquest of Sevastopol up to October 1942.

Hi Uther. It's good. Egorova was certainly in the thick of it. Only about half way through, so can't comment on the rest yet. My only gripe would be that the English translation reads as a bit too "English" at times.

Really recommend this one if you like a book with more action and less theory : "Stuka Pilot" by Hans-Ulrich Rudel

It's not totally about Stalingrad but the vision of a pilot that fought there and in many other battles in the  Eastern Front
