Republicans over Stalingrad

Dear all,

 

I am uploading a fictional generic-skinpack based on the Spanish Republican Air Force for the aircraft from the Battle of Stalingrad and Battle of Moscow.

 

The "fictional-historical" background could be the one you like the most, such as the participation of the allies aiding the republican cause after the Ebro Battle (and making the war last enough to receive new soviet aircraft) or the creation of a group of squadrons formed by republican spanish volunteers resembling the Normandie-Niemen (as an independent group inside the VVS).

 

I have based the schemes on existing squadrons (hence the Chato, Mosca and Katiustka references) during the Spanish Civil War, and the main colors used come from digitalized samples from wreckages.

Most Spanish pilots were united in 439 iap, but were also in many other regiments.

Yes, there were some at the 439 iap, but mainly they were dispersed on different squads (481 iap, 826 iap, 960 iap...), always mixed with other soviet pilots. There were also some pilots who were not ex-combatants such as Luis Lavín who were emigrants during the SCW and enlisted in the VVS as soviet citizens.
