General Request: Updated FW190 Tutorials

So,

I noticed if you check YouTube, there are almost no up to date flights of people using this plane successfully, or giving lessons that represent the current flight model after the major changes. I figured I'd make a general request of the community FW190 jocks who are still successful with the plane that I'd personally love some newer educational video content as most the FW190 videos currently out are very old and I know for a fact there are others like me who I've spoken to who feel their is not enough information available on flying this frame successfully, or how it stacks up in real fights vs other frames, modern tactics, and newer BOM planes.

Good idea :) any volunteers?

If nobody shows up, pair up with someone who os interested and experiment for a month fighting as an element, then post your findings.

It really just the same as before but a little more twitchy/sensitive.

Just climb up, stay fast, bz, don't turn much if at all in the horizontal, maximize the use of the firepower and most importantly know when to run ! Simple really. All you need to do is practice.

I have been practicing on campaign. I don't think you can turn hard as before using stab trimming technique. The best strat on line is having a wing man and keep enemy busy attacking from different directions.

I usually have great success in the 190, come in with speed and make slashing attacks. Usually the two cannons dispatch any aircraft swiftly. I would however always recommend flying with a wingman. The 190 really shines if its paired up with at least one more player, preferably using teamspeak to communicate. :salute:

Yup ...but hard to remember in the heat of action...

Aero is right, it's not significantly different. Use his suggestions for combat. I wouldn't say it's twitchy, exactly, but you should experiment offline for a while in high G turns - particularly in the horizontal and high G turns in shallow descents. (The second are the ones which bite me the most.)

The accelerated stall gives a warning but it is very brief before a wing snaps over on you. If you have altitude, break the stall as any other aircraft and she regains her speed pretty quickly but you will be 500-700m lower than before. Hand in hand with that is, if you have an accelerated stall below 700m you are at the 50/50 line for recovery.

Other than that, speed is life. Stay fast, hit hard, climb, rinse and repeat. Never allow your speed fall below 330 kph except to extend/climb. Then pitch for 300.

That's good news cos I thought it was just me getting too old to get the business done.  Okay, well online combat tracks would probably be the best way to demonstrate the true effectiveness of the new 190 in a hard fought action.

Anyone have any recent 'tracks' they'd care to share??

I have two... dont know if they will be very relevant but here they are:

This first one is a 2v3 encounter, it is from the POV of my friend Welter (I forgot to record), he was on a 109F4 while I was on the 190. We encountered 3 lagg3s and managed to shoot 2 of them down (the other one got disconnected)

The second one is from my POV, I was lonewolfing when I encountered a lone Yak, scored some hits and he tried to flee to his base. In the middle of the way he leads me to a little big surprise...  hehe

I had some really good tracks, but lost most of them when the update came and broke them  :(

-edit-

Just remembered of another one: very high alt action, with swarms of ivans flying at 6k+. Managed to shoot 2 of them down before having to leave the scene:

I also have some really long tracks of squad flying, if anyone interested I can upload...

HerrMurf has probably posted so much on this subject that he could form a book by now
