Only way to fly; the Saitek Combat Pro pedals are amazing for the money and combined with the versatility of the Warthog it's an unbeatable combo. for flying.

Same setup here and I absolutely love it.

MFG Crosswind rudder and Hotas warthog. I jerry rigged the stick (removed the base) so it attaches to the front of my office seat. There's no base that gets in the way of my legs so I have free rudder movement. I replaced the left armrest with a platform where the throttle sits. I have two different screen setups next to eachother in a corner desk. No more moving Hotas controls around.

@99th_Jaguar. I have the grey rotary mapped to mixture and the throttle levers to prop and throttle. The water and oil radiator cowl flaps are mapped to the throttle Coolie Hat. Turbocharger to the red throttle thumbswitch.  Flaps to the middle throttle thumbswitch. Nice to have all the engine functions at one point. Landing gear mapped to the landing gear warning silence button. As functions get activated things will change.

Thanks guys, I was on the fence of which new setup I should get.  Good news is that I can go to a local Fys and pickup that combo today.

Same combo here (+DIY extension on stick) and I'm happy with these!

But pedals could be more accurate. Rudder is quite ok with it's 1024 steps (DIView), but toe brakes has only 127 steps.  No problem with LaGG, but DCS P-51D Mustang is very diffucult and annoying steer with these!

Of course there is solution for this problem  - rewiring it with some 12 bit joystick board and you have 4096 steps for every axle... ;)

That is very similar to how I have my Warthog set up for Cliffs, and undoubtedly when I do get to participate in the pre-release I will set it up very similar as well.

Folks, if you've already dropped $400+ on the Warthog, do yourselves a favor and spend another $100 on a CH Throttle Quadrant.  I picked one up from eBay for $70, but even new it's still a steal.  I love my Warthog, but having the CH mounted beside it gives the best of both worlds.  Two trim levers, two radiator levers, mixture and prop pitch make those six sliders such a joy.  I don't even use the grey slider on the Warthog throttle base, since it's such a pain to get to.

Thanks fellas for the feedback about the TM warthog.  BigC208 is that set up supported yet?   I might try both. Do you have to be connected to the server?  It looks as if  I will have one day next week to configure both planes.  Not complaining just moaning a bit.  Much apreciated gents.

I saw this mentioned in another thread some time ago and was checking it out, and came oh so close to clicking the buy button...

You just HAD to mention it again didn't ya!

They are a great combination, I also have simped pedals modded with the Bodnar usb board to give me a better resolution, great set up although I wouldnt mind a set of the Crosswind MFG pedals when I can spare the cash.

How do you like them? Money well spent? And what previous pedals did you replace (if any) with Crosswind?

These are my first set of rudder pedals so I have nothing to compare with . That said though, there are plenty who have compared them to the Simpeds and the Crosswinds clearly win in every aspect.

My View? I'm very happy with them. They are of a very sturdy construction but you might want to fix them to a base board to prevent tipping when applying pressure to one side only. The base has screw holes for this purpose. They are silent in operation and very precise and smooth allowing for the smallest adjustments.

Adjustability is second to none. Two adjusments for spring tension (with the option for the customer to replace with a spring of their choice), Pedal angle adjustment  two ways and also toe brake spring tension adjustment.

My pedals are from the first production run and I've had zero problems with them. I contacted Milan once just to clarify a setup point, but that was just a misunderstanding on my part, not a fault with the product.

If you do have any issues (unlikely) Milan is very quick to respond and supports his product well.

You'd be very hard pushed to find better for the price. I couldn't find anything of a decent build quality in the price range until these came along which is why I never used pedals before. Now I can't imagine flying without them. In fact I was thinking of building my own but Milan saved me the trouble  .

They're one of my best buys as far as flight simming goes. Top quality does still exist at a reasonable price ;) . You can find more details and order info at the website. I can't get the link to work here so just type mfg crosswind into google.

Hope that helps.

I also have the Crosswind rudder pedals and along with a TM Warthog and throttle quad , I'm quite pleased with the set up.

My throttle handles all of the engine functions.  With my hand on the throttle, the index finger naturally falls on a hat switch that I have prop pitch mapped to.  The thumb hat is oil rad in and out and coolant rad up and down. Very much a Hotas set up as my throttle hand never changes position (pinky button toggles auto pitch and fourth finger is wep.  Only when lowering flaps (flap lever is just to the left) does that hand leave the default position.

Trims are all on the stick same as the A10 it is modeled after.

Milan's Crosswind pedals are super accurate and very adjustable.

In Jan I will assemble an Obutto Rev3 that has a center mount for the warthog (just remove the base) and screw it to the mount included.  Hopefully that's it for a while ;-).

™ Cougar and CH Pro pedals. Very happy but thinking about the Warthog to get rid of pots. You really need a set of pedals. There is no similarity between reality and a twist grip.

I have been using X52 Pro for a few years now. Pretty good stick for its low price. Though finishing quality wasnt very good, had to open it up to tighten some loose screws and move a magnet little bit to correct calibration issues. Have been thinking of buying a better control set

My advice would be to work yourself up gradually.

How I started was I bought myself a X52 Pro joystick & throttle. Used it for a few months then decided I needed rudder pedals. Bought myself some Saitek Pedals then a few months later I bought myself a CH Fighter Stick (Best buy ever) and finally bought myself some simped rudder pedals, german made but no longer manufactured.

I assume you have Trackir if not then I would actually consider downloading the freetrack software and buy yourself a cheap webcam follow the freetrack instructions on how to create a extremely cheap head tracking system. My brother did it and his works just as well as my Trackir once setup properly.

My final setup is:

Trackir

CH Fighterstick

X52 Pro Throttle (The throttle that comes with the x52 package is very good)

Simped Pedals
