Mission Download Blues

Hi. I have just downloaded and installed two missions, "Day all hell froze over and Another ordinary morning", problem being, I have to delete the MSN Bin file in both downloads for the mission text to display and the when the missions open, 

 graphics are coloured bright blue !  I seem to remember that i had this problem before, but cannot remember how it was eventually fixed.

 

I realize that these are all third party missions , but why are they not just simple download/install/play

Same reason a mission made in original IL-2 had incompatibility between patches but in a reverse way 

 

price of progress, majority of missions have been updated to take into account of new features and structure of later games files

 

Blue sky issue was due to upgrade of weather variants, very few mission downloads have these issues now..fairly sure it was a simple fix to change weather type

 

maybe some one will have more accurate info or later version download link

Thanks Dakpilot, I think your right with regards a weather change, I seem to remember something along those lines and I think i may have written the solution somewhere ???

I think you have to open the mission on the ME and save it again

Yes indeed. It's an easy fix. You'll find the mission editor in the .../BoS/bin/editor folder. Just open the mission, and in the properties dialogue box thingy (if for some reason the properties dialogue isn't open, you can open it in the "view" menu), go to the atmosphere options button and then give the mission any clouds (and/or wind and turbulence - and rain/snow!) that you desire. Save it, and ....Ta-Daa! Shiny new mission!

I suppose that while BoS/BoM are being constantly updated the need to change third party missions data to suit the current upgrade will be on going.
