Yaw control question

If this does not belong here please move it. First post! Hello!

In IL2 1946 there is a keyboard yaw control bound to X and Z that applies full rudder and would reset, whereas the keyboard yaw control in BoS does not automatically reset and does not respond in a very rapid manner. I believe the control in 1946 was called "full yaw/rudder" or something like that. Thanks for any help!

P.S. Any recommendations for a first time HOTAS buy?

This key was added in one of last patches, look for - no sure if key D is default, probable (as I dont use this).

Yaw reset,       key_d,          Plane control: yaw reset

Map 3 keys in sequence for this commands, e.g. A,S,D = Left, Neutral, Right rudder.

For Joystick, HOTAS, Rudder Pedal... depends on how much you want spent.

I have a setup like that but the issue is that in 1946 Z and X would instantly and automatically reset, and would not have to have a specific command to reset the yaw control. That is the control that I want.

No, you dont have option for momentary (when key is pressed) Right or Left rudder control like in IL-2:46, only incremental for Right and for Left, and actually have a key for reset to center, previous was need count, e.g. if press the key 9 times for right, need press 9 times for left to center, what are not a very effective way to control rudder in airplanes...

Rest get used to the system or get a twist stick rudder joystick or standalone rudder pedal.  :)

BTW - Case you are flying with gamepad, their mini-stick's can be used for momentary rudder control.

Darn. I tried using a gamepad but the game was next to impossible to play with it. Oh well.  :(
