=EXPEND=Tripwire Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Vive support for War Thunder was just officially released. While I have never had the pleasure of sitting in the cockpit of a real 109, I have clocked many hours in them over the years in IL2 variants. The metal headrest whilst somewhat challenging to deal with in IL2+TrackIR is really something else in VR. Its incredible seeing how much it actually wraps around and over the pilots head. Turning your head right around to try look past in VR is not an easy feat and I can see why being bounced by a plane you never saw coming would have been quite common. The feeling of the cockpit size (in IL2:BOM) with TIR and a monitor does not equal what I experience in War Thunder VR. I knew it was a small pit, but not that small! VR really lets you feel how cramped it was in there. Dropped these forums for a read whilst I let the start of some VR sickness subside a bit. Too many loops and barrel rolls on my first flight haha!
