BoS: Freezing on application switch

Switching applications (alt-tab in both window/fullscreen modes, or clicking outside of the game in windowed) all freeze the game for about 20+ seconds. Googled some solutions but only found that quite a few had a similar problem but was crashing instead. Has this issue been fixed yet?

Computer Specs:
 

Type: Tower Desktop

Case Model: Centurion 6 Mid Tower

Operating System: Windows 10.

Motherboard: ASUS H110M-A D3

CPU: Intel Core i5-6400 @ 2.70 GHZ, 2701 MHz, 4 Cores, 4 Logical Processors

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760, 2GB VRAM

RAM: 2x 4GB @ [___] Kingston HyperX

HDD: None. Could fit one in the future though, there's 4 SATA slots iirc.

SSD: 120GB Samsung Magician @ ~500 MB/s

Additional Storage: 4x USB 3.0 4x USB 2.0.

Resolution: 1280 x 1024 @60Hz You can see what the monitor looks like here

 

Also not a BoS issue, but in RoF I can't pan the camera diagonally. (I use a hatswitch for tracking)

bump with video (despite the video being outdated by one patch, nothing has changed since 2.003 came out)

I had the same problem.

Try running game as administrator in win7 combatibility mode - it worked for me.

Apparently it wasn't set to compatability mode but even if I enable it, no good
