You don't think a thread titled "Happy D Day world!!!" slightly er....trite - in view of what took place on the day in question and what happened to the majority of allied soldiers who hit the beach in the following weeks and months?

GrendelsDad Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 Well Aurther, I am not sure where you are from...but here in OHIO we say Happy Memorial Day and even have a PGA GOLF toruney in honor of the day. That's just how we do where I am from. We celebrate what is good! We get together on the 4th of July and shoot off fireworks. On face value these are silly things. But when you add family and friends and vets to the mix, well it becomes down right important. You can focus on the title of the thread if you like? But I will focus on the sentiment as I am sure most freedom loving people will do as well. I am firing up the grill as we speak! I will end with what my grandpa who was Korea vet used to say..."It sure is a great today"(happy to be alive everyday). That is how I chose to live my life, celebrating the people and causes I hold dear. 2
