Rigsby Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I noticed by watching some other videos that I have no GDI readouts. You know the one I mean the one that shows speed, altitude.. ect. I have it displayed on my left screen along with the map, but it doesn't tell me what speed I am at or anything. Is there another key command or something I must press to get it to start giving me readouts? It's just very hard learning to fly if I don't know any of this. Take a look at the pic I uploaded. Thanks!!
FuriousMeow Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 (edited) Expert difficulty selected? If so, that'll do it. Edited November 20, 2013 by FuriousMeow
1./KG4_Blackwolf Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Yup set it to custom mode and check what you want but you will have your speedbar working.
FuriousMeow Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 It won't display with custom mode either if you leave instrument panel unselected. I don't have any readout with custom, but the only two items I have selected are autopilot and engine warmed up. Pretty sure "Instrument Panel" provides readouts.
1./KG4_Blackwolf Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 (edited) Huh, well I set it to expert didn't see the speedbar readings so I set it to custom and check only a few and I have it working I thought instrument panel was like IL2 cockpit "always on" I guess I need to test this I would be nice if we could see what the settings are for normal and expert when we click them. 1./KG4_Blackwolf Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 You're right FM, instrument panel is the speedbar.
FuriousMeow Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 (edited) Nice, I thought it could be instrument panel - but wasn't sure. I think that the green color coded boxes are the selections that normal difficulty selects, in addition to the red one. And the one red color coded box is the only one selected with expert difficulty. I think, not sure. EDIT: Red/orange? I'm not actually sure what color that is. Edited November 20, 2013 by FuriousMeow

FlatSpinMan Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I agree it would be helpful to see clearly what Normal and Expert include.
Tone71 Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I agree it would be helpful to see clearly what Normal and Expert include. I think the colour coded box thing is pretty clear but yes, room for improvement.
JaMz Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I agree it would be helpful to see clearly what Normal and Expert include. Make a suggestion mate None of this is the finished article yet as Jason has already mentioned
Matt Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I guess that whole box with the settings should be visible even when you click on Normal or Expert mode, but as soon as you change something, it should switch to custom mode.
1./KG4_Blackwolf Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Or just be greyed out so you can see it but not click it.
FlatSpinMan Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Gotta say, the 0 points for custom mode baffles me somewhat. So, I choose harder settings than 'normal' but easier than 'expert' but lose all ability to gain victory points?

So, I choose harder settings than 'normal' but easier than 'expert' but lose all ability to gain victory points? Yes, this was really odd. Also, the navigation markers are enabled on expert mode? Does that mean in expert multiplayer servers everyone will see navigation markers?
1./KG4_Blackwolf Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Oh I hope not..maybe the server can control this.
