HagarTheHorrible Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I use a triple monitor display. This is the view to the rear using TrackIR. Quite wide, huh ? This is about what I think I should get What do you think ? 1
1./KG4_Blackwolf Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 (edited) Yeah that's about right. The top one shows you way too much..you'd have super SA! No one sneaking up on you! Edited November 20, 2013 by Blackwolf
DD_fruitbat Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Isn't this about what'd you see IRL? Depends if you're an owl or not... 1
DD_bongodriver Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 But not a Fruitbat, ears is the thing with fruit bats.
DD_bongodriver Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Anyhow, on the topic at hand, what do I think? I think with all that processing power and triple image output is being wasted by not building a dome projection system for full wrap around visuals..........and yes there is too much fov in the rear view.
kestrel79 Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Suprisingly Warthunder does a pretty good job of limiting your rear view when playing the game mode with cockpit locked. I play with 3 screens and if I look directly behind me in most planes all I see is the seat and armor. Only when you slide your head sideways a bit with the TrackIR can you see a little behind the seat. It's very immersive doing that when checking your six. I'm sure they'll figure it out it's early.

Doubt it, its the same in RoF.
