Has the Il-2 community noticed this? It's coming to Steam on June 6 in Early Access. The focus is on a single player dynamic campaign :)

Hopefully it contains some cool single player ideas that could be applied to BOS/BOM!

Keeping an eye on that.  Any developer who understands how important a good campaign system is deserves to be supported.

It will be released at 30$ USD and will expand into multiplayer/co-op missions later on.

My 30$ is in the STEAM wallet and itching to go.

Thought you'd be interested Feathered :)

2 more days! $30 USD seems a bargain.

I bougfht it "CAP2" and I you-tube the first day; looks very good for alpha state. Looking forward to getting all for this price.

I remember when Kerbal Space was free and I jumped on that one.

Bought it. Reviews on Steam are good so far.

Worth noting:

- Performs exceptionally well. Is a 32bit DX11 title (64bit client imminent). I average 300fps on Ultra maxing out at 600fps on a core i5 and GTX970

- Graphics are satisfying but simplistic. Room for improved textures and higher fidelity models, which currently are not BOS/BOM standard.

- Visibility to the horizon is exceptional

- Ocean effects are the best I've seen.

- OpenTrack does not yet work well.

- Rubbish collission detection. The plane bumps off the objects and the ocean.

- I have tried the campaign but it needs some guidance on how to play it.

- I'm not well experienced in jet sims. The flight model feels ok but not as high fidelity as BOS/BOM.

Since the type of engagements are different to WW2 (less AI air units), I'm unsure if the technology is comparable to BOS/BOM. At any rate its a good demonstration of what can be achieved.

Is there convincing coms chatter simulated?  This is always the killer for me.

Not that I've noticed so far. I've only had time to do training :)

It isn't in Russian though!

It is a dream.

I can't fight off my steam redeem wallet purchase for much longer.

Maybe until saturday afternoon at the latest then I am a gone goose and CAP2 is installed.

I have 7 hours 32 mins to go get my EB Games STEAM card to buy CAP2 this saturday.

I said I would get it today.

I guess BOM 50% off is a dream.

32.99$ CDN is a reasonable price for a beta early access price for a flight sim.

Can you fly as a UK Harrier pilot?

Good question, but looking at their site I doubt it.

I'm holding off playing more CAP2 until there's some new features and fixes. Its current state is rough. Best to buy only if you want to support development of a new sim as I.

As to playing another nationality, I doubt there will be that option. However the devs have hinted that their objective is to get a successful engine and product developed through CAP2, and then iterate with new theatres and aircraft (the Tornado for example), in the same way that IC/777 are. They are also using a custom built engine.

Excitingly they have imminent plans for VR!

Why would you want to portray the only time Harriers have downed an enemy aircraft in a shooting war?>

"Extremist revolutionary forces" ....mhmm...which country to the east of Hormuz it could be

Because Argentina of 1982 is not "Extremist revolutionary force"

With the small print on my mobile phone, I first misread that as Feminist Revolutionary Forces

"Extremist reactionary force" would be closer, to be sure.
