muff1n Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 anybody can compare the stiffness between the T-16000M and Hotas Warthog (wanna buy) ? I did read that warthog is a quite stiff around the center so precise aiming is quite hard, but I would like to know how stiff is it compared to T-16000M (I own it). side note (for people who don't know which budget joystick to buy): also own Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas X, but the precision of T-16000M (hall sensors) is beyond the reach of hotas x joystick now I'm able to play with linear axis configuration on all the planes, it was impossible with hotas x so you can't get wrong with the T-16000M, but the throttle of Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas X is good (unfortunately you can't completely separate the throttle as the throttle cable is going to the joystick first)
Sokol1 Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 (edited) also own Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas X, but the precision of T-16000M (hall sensors) is beyond the reach of hotas x joystick People should stop buying joysticks with potentiometer in X,Y axis, so the manufacturers stop make this crap. Stick X, HOTAS X/4, Cyborg's, F.L.Y... Edited May 30, 2016 by Sokol1
muff1n Posted May 31, 2016 Author Posted May 31, 2016 (edited) People should stop buying joysticks with potentiometer in X,Y axis, so the manufacturers stop make this crap. Stick X, HOTAS X/4, Cyborg's, F.L.Y... I bought a CH Pro Throttle (potentiometer too), because everybody is praising it and what a stupid mistake, jitters all over the place, mini-stick on the throttle has huge deadzone in the centre, it looks like people were paid to make the CH reviews. if you are a fan of simulation games go with Warthog and MFG Crosswind. Never ever will I touch anything with potentiometers again, stupid me. Edited May 31, 2016 by Muffin
Sokol1 Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I bought a CH Pro Throttle (potentiometer too), And CH pot cost at least 10 times more that the pot used in this other joysticks.
KoN_ Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Warthogs are great sticks but it is quite stiff for BOS , Look at a FFB joystick if you can get one , but if your a flight sim buff and fly most sims DCS , CLOD , ROF , The warthogs has come down in price . The new x56 will be out soon . And The Gunfighter .
Cyph3r Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 I've not used the T-16000m so I can't comment on that. But I will say stay away from the Warthog, it's just not great, especially considering the price. The center detent is pretty intense - you can get around this by removing the large central spring and only use the 4 smaller outer springs, but the stick won't hold the center under it's own weight anymore. The gimbal itself is also just garbage.
Sokol1 Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 (edited) Notice that Warthog feel/ spring weight can be changed with use of extension, like these. http://warthog-extensions-by-sahaj.com/ See how the 20cm extension leave the stick "floppy". What can be a issue because grip is outbalanced, tends tilt to front... I don't like in Warthog grip for WWII planes because the lack of press buttons convenient placed, is need individual control over Mg and Cannons - that double stage trigger allow use both simultaneous. Anyway since your point is stiffness between T.1600M and warthog, expect more in Warthog, the low weight in T.16000M indicates this. What can offer a different experience in this department is this new VKB or BAUR gimbals. Edited June 1, 2016 by Sokol1
