F-6-F Hellcat- which os the best sim?

Is there any sim of the F-6-F Hellcat that depicts the aircraft as well as the aircraft here in BoS or in CloD with as much detail & exterior & interior shadows?

Not sure there is. You mean combat sim or does civilian count as well?

 

These aren't exactly Hellcats but VEAO is getting a Wildcat ready and Leatherneck is working on a Corsair, I'm betting both will be out in less than a year. These will have the detail you're looking for. Both are for DCS.

There isn't any as far as I know, at least not in a combat sim. No idea if there are compareable modules for FSX / X-Plane ect.

I was thinking more of a "stand alone" aircraft, not a combat sim.

Vertigo F6F for FSX seems sufficient detailed - have weapons, don't know if they work.

If you're looking plainly for visuals War Thunder should do, they have a shiny Hellcat with cockpit shadows and all that I believe.

Its been forever since I tried WT.Do I have to earn the aircraft or purchase it? Is it possible to do a "walk-around "& take screenshots?

Yes, you've got to unlock aircraft (or pay for them with real money) in WT to fly them unless you play some of the single player missions (most of which need to be unlocked, too). As far as the graphics go the WT F6F lacks even behind the FSX one and system depth is nothing to get exited about, but it had a somewhat nice FM if I remember correctly.

It doesn't take that long to work your way up to the Hellcat in WT...

I sometimes go back to it when I just want to get quickly into action without having to think too hard.. its similar to fly as the aircraft in IL2 1946.

CoD TF5 patch should have a Martlet available, other than '46 that's the closest I can think of.

War Thunder for all it's faults does do a Realistic Battle in the Pacific with Hellcats, Corsairs and P-38 against A6M5, Ki-61 and Ki-43. It's very rare though.
