Please can someone tell me what the adjustable stabilizer in the plane controls is?

Some planes the entire horizontal stabilizer can be adjusted. For example, Se5a in WWI.

 In the Bf109 whole elevator assembly was moved when trimming, not a trim tab or similar.

What I find interesting is that there are different keys for adjustable stabilizer and trim.  I can't think of any aircraft that had both and from the cockpit the function is essentially the same (pitch trim) so it would seem logical (to me) that the there would only be one set of keys mapped.

I guess you could always map your preferred switch/lever to do both and they wouldn't interfere with each other.
